I really like how this book was put together. Using 10 mistakes as examples to illustrate his points makes them all the more easy to understand.
If you’re worried about your sales efforts or lack confidence in them, then this book can only help you. Hatter uses his extensive experience to help readers avoid some of the most common pitfalls.
I've read a lot on different sales tactics and how to make changes to my pitch to increase my numbers. I have my own style that seems to work "good enough". It's not great, but it's not bad. After reading Donald Hatter's book, 10 Things Great Sales Leaders Don't Do, I definitely feel like I've added a few new weapons to my arsenal. My sales manager has been saying some similar things to what I encountered in the book, but they've never really set in until I read it here. It's like Mr. Hatter has helped me fit the puzzle pieces snugly in place.
At a hair under 70 pages, Mr. Hatter does an outstanding job of making concise and perfect points on what anyone in sales should be focused (or not focused) on. He doesn't waste your time with rehashing the same old stuff you hear in your morning meetings, either. It all just makes sense. I'm giving this book to my boss for Christmas this year. He's fairly stubborn on "his method", but he definitely could learn a few things from this. Now just to sell him on change...
Overall an excellent book that anyone is sales should read. Highly Recommended.
