As both a psychotherapist and a woman from the 'sixties set' who just returned to the dating scene I was amazed at how 'on target' this book is!! Not only were the messages those that I would deliver as a therapist, but reading them helped guide me through this new venture in my own life...a truly helpful read! --Mimi Scott, PhD, LCSW Author, Split: Tales of Children of Divorce

This is NOT another ""quick fix"" to dating but a foundation of how dating paradigms shift with age. Rosalind & Amy deliver a step-by-step guide that is easy to follow and can be implemented instantly! What I admire most is their ability to portray the advantages that age & experience can bring to the table! Dating at 20 was 'crazy', dating as boomers becomes dating 'smart'. Rosalind & Amy show you that creating long term, lasting relationships at this age with an emotionally available and stable partner is not only in your cards but attainable step-by-step! --Ben Winkler, Relationship Coach for Singles, www.BenWinkler.com

An amazing accomplishment in touching upon so many essential components regarding ""Women and Dating"" so concisely. If you are in therapy, use this book as a checklist. It can open the door to a lot of valuable work. If not in therapy, use it as your own pre-dating checklist in the same way a pilot would use a pre-flight check before take off. Do not leave the ground without it. --C. Paul Wanio, Ph.D., LMFT, LMHC, and author of, I Love You I Think: When Sex Disguises Itself As Love

This is the first time I have taken the time to write a book review. I hope it will be useful as you decide whether or not to purchase this great book.

As a 62 year old attractive, intelligent and self examined woman, I will begin dating again in the near future. I appreciate the writers directness, detailed explanations and illustrative, yet brief, stories. This book is so well written and engaging that I finished it in 2 1/2 hours. In my opinion, it clearly addresses all the sensitive, pertinent issues of dating at almost any age especially as a mature woman. I highlighted many salient points that I will reference as needed in the future. I will also recommend it as a source to my therapist and other people I feel might benefit from your message.

Just a little about myself; I'm a native New York presently living in PA. At an earlier time in my life, I had a career in middle management. However, my love has always been psychology and at last I'm going to enter that field. In May I will become a CASAC (Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor). If I didn't have a terrific and skilled therapist locally, I would certainly call the author for life coaching.

Thank you so much for taking the time to focus such an important subject to "us baby boomers". Actually, in my opinion, your book would be excellent for women of all ages who are dating or in relationships.

Hope our paths will cross someday.

Teri

This book reads like "mom's little book of advice" on smart living, sound but no depth or real tactics. If you need a good reminder if basics like "groom yourself, lose weight and exercise to project your best self" and "choose character over looks" - then you will probably be satisfied.

I think this is a book filled with common sense thoughts. It is well organized and thorough. It does not truly give concrete directives on how to go about the process as the back cover suggests. Maybe that's in another of her books.

I read every word of this book, short and to the point about dating after 40 and before 100! I was able to see a few things differently after reading what guys think as well as what the author wrote about in the book. She is so right about so many things, the stories seem like she was talking about everything I have ever done wrong in a relationship and what kind of people to avoid as well. Great short little book that does everything the title says it will do for you.

Dating is different at 50 or at midlife. Reminders of red flags are important so you don't put up with unacceptable behaviors and traits to look for are equally important. Book is easy to read & a resource I'll keep close as I navigate this new phase in my life.

Getting out into the dating world at any age can be scary, but, for most of the women I've worked with, the fear factor goes up exponentially the older you are (and the longer you've been out of the dating scene).

Rosalind Sedacca and Amy Sherman do a great job of empowering women to not only date, but to date and have fun. It contains lots of great advice as well as terrific reminders of what to think about when you're shopping for a serious, healthy, adult relationship.

It's written very concisely, in "bite-sized" pieces that make sense and inspire. It's the perfect book to stash in your purse and take with you on your outings.

I highly recommend this book!

99 cents for 99 things women wish they knew--how can you lose, I thought. But come to find out, you can end up wasting not only the 99 cents but also the (approximately) 99 minutes it will take you to read through this book. I kept hoping I'd come upon something helpful, but I didn't. Many times the author made pronouncements such as "we all know that men....." without a shred of actual evidence that what she was saying was true.
