The book has a lot of fresh ideas, and helps reframe older ones in a new context, with examples of how they work in practice that help them stick in your brain. I particularly enjoyed thinking about how omission bias or action bias has been driving some of my choices without realising it.
All in all, a really brilliant read! I recommend to everyone who has started thinking about how to achieve their goals and even to those who haven't yet really thought about it!
I thought this book was superb, but more importantly, after about ten minutes I felt it was already changing my behaviour! After reading it just once, I feel so much more positive about being on track to achieve all I want in the near future.
Lordan lays out her methods and thoughts very gently, with lots of good examples from real life, and a practical toolkit for achieving what you want in small steps that lead to incredible results. Everything is intelligently researched and well explained.
I found it readable, funny, thoughtful, insightful, INCREDIBLY useful and, very very rare for a book, genuinely life-changing.
I'm reading this book over several times to make sure that I have a full understanding of the proposed actions and to make sure that I actually make them a positive 'habit'.
If you're like me and seriously pursuing your best future, buy this book and build a better life!
I am looking forward to applying these insights to my life as there are many tangible suggestions throughout- I particularly like the template on monitoring learning!
Overall, this is a truly brilliant book which I highly recommend to anyone at any stage in their life.
Think Big is engaging from start to finish through interactive questionnaires that I will most definitely revisit along my big thinking journey. Think Big is a must for anyone who wants to stack the odds in their favour and make their wildest dreams become a reality. This is the type of book you keep for life and refer back to whenever life throws you a curveball or you just need some motivation to get back on track.
The behavioural insights Grace has outlined in Think Big will no doubt help you achieve your big thinking goal but can also help you build better personal relationships, be happier and live a better life. I have noticed the difference in myself already and encourage everyone to read this book and recommend it to their friends! It is applicable to everyone, no matter what stage you are at in your career or in your life!
