addition to five other books of his, as well as two copies of that of George,
his right hand man on The Apprentice. Trump is a practical business man. He
said in one of his books that he is too straight forward to play the game
like politicians. He also said that he might not go into politics, but if
he did, he would go in to win. He doesn't believe in losing. As a matter of
fact, he said if it looked like he was losing, he would apply the military
strategy of retreat, restrategise, and launch a fresh onslaught, bargaining
his way through. I'm also aware of what he said about African and other
developing countries. In my view, this is a wake up call for our leaders to
do that which is right. He may not have been your regular politician
because of the pressures of office, which I believe are far higher than
that of his businesses. Americans voted him into office, he didn't shoot
his way into power. They can pray for him to do what they want according to
his election promises, but if he fails to do that, they have the power to
deprive him of a second term. I must say I've learned a thing or two about
managing a business from his books. I wish him success in running the
affairs of the US.
I find it interesting to note also that all the people blasting Mr. Trump and/or his books...well...*probably* aren't exactly billionaires (or millionaires?).
I enjoyed the "glossy photos" included also. They showcase his success.
Mr. Trump writes at the start: "Even if you absorb only ten percent of the wisdom in this book, you'll still have a good shot at becoming a millionaire."
Advice from other places in the book: "Focus on the solutions, not the problem."
1. Think big
2. Stay focused
3. Be paranoid (keep your guard up)
4. Be passionate
5. Don't ever give up
6. Love what you are doing
I got this book because I enjoyed the introductory material (which I happened to chance upon via Google Books). I am an independent author/publisher/entrepreneur. The going can get tough sometimes. Rather than wallow in self-pity and whine/gripe about things endlessly, I seek out success stories and seek to emulate successful people (it sure beats moping around and complaining about things/life in general).
This book is no exception (success story, etc.). I am thankful to Mr. Trump for sharing a wealth of information, via his thoughts/views!
So, I replay the first 2-1/3 CD and leave the remaining ones in the case. Whenever I re-hear the information The Donald is expounding, I learn more and more from it and see how it applies in my life and supports my financial goals and growth. I wish all 5 CDs were used to expound rather than some being used to self-promote.
