This book is a beautiful, honest and humorous account of the personal stories of a breast cancer survivor as she goes through the process of breast reconstruction and coming to terms with her new body. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has breast cancer, is a survivor, or is trying to understand the experiences of a loved one who is dealing with the emotional tolls of cancer. It makes a wonderful and thoughtful gift, as well.

I loved it!! What an amazing writer! I really enjoyed how easy this book was to read - it was all so real and down-to-earth. I smirked, laughed, and cried throughout the entire book. (Tears rolling down my neck at 5:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning!) Lynne has got to be one the strongest and bravest women I've ever had the privilege of reading. Although I am not a cancer survivor, I've lost many people I love to the disease. This is a must read for anyone ever touched by cancer.

Reading Lynne Hanson's book is like showering under two shower heads. From one shower head comes caressing warm water. These are Lynne's words spoken with the warmth of a TRUE friend. From the other shower head comes sparkling carbonated water. These are Lynne's much needed sparkling humorous anecdotes to lighten the pain of the subject. And just as a shower prepares you for your day;this book empowers the reader to help others or themselves.
