I carry two laptops (Macbook Pro 17" and Dell Precision) an Ipad and all the relevant cables and cords through airports on twice weekly basis and was tired of getting stopped at security so they could open up my "suspicious" cable bags and re-run them through the x-ray. This prompted me to change my system entirely, and I wound up purchasing this bag along with several of ThinkTank's other bags to separate and segregate each set of cords.
Now my check-in is a snap. All i do is unzip the partition of my Osprey Meridian bag which exposes all of the individual bags, (which have clear windows so you can see whats in them)take out each laptop and the Ipad and run through the line.
Now for some more on the bag:
1: There is a removable partition in the Powerhouse Pro, which so far has fit several types of charging bricks in it. I can't fit the new slim/wide dell power supply in without removing the partition, but no big deal. Each computer has its own Powerhouse Pro bag.
2: The material is robust enough that it has survived a vicious attack from our new Shepherd puppy. I caught him soon enough, but he was unable to inflict any injury, much to my surprise.
3: The front panel has a see-thru mesh viewing panel on each side of the partition. This is VERY handy for quick ID to make sure you're grabbing the right bag, or just to see if something is missing.
4: There are two zippered panels on the rear, which is where I fit my MacBook Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter and an HDMI cable.
5: The top zipper opens wide enough to fit anything through that will fit in the bag. In the past I was using a bag for this charger with an opening that was smaller than the actual bag, so this is a big deal for me. It also has 2 zippers which allows you to open the bag by pulling perpendicular to the zipper pattern. This is a very fast method to open the bag.
7: The bag will sit upright on its own. It is made from a robust material and is very well designed to stay upright while loading/unloading.
There are no CONS to report at this time. I have already been using it now for about two months and I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase.
I've been a globe trotter for over ten years now and have been optimizing my system as I go along. To date, this is the very best setup I have ever had and my traveling efficiency has benefited greatly. A lot of time saved with these bags, not just at the airport, but while packing as well.
The price is steep for a bag, but I'd gladly pay it again.
Bottom line up front? Solid 5 Stars
Its a bit more spendy then a simple bag might be, but it looks nice and is well built.
