Great single player game
I didn't realize that this was a single player game. I mostly bought it because the cats looked adorable LOL! But, I have really been enjoying this strategy game. It is actually harder than. It seems, it took me 3 nights to get through all the beginner cards. I like how the cats sit at a slight angle when placed correctly. I also love that this game has spots for all the pieces, so if it gets turned upside down everything doesn't get messed. The drawings are adorable and the pieces are all made from high quality card board. Be careful if you have hard wood floors that it is easy to lose pieces of the stands for the cats for several days in plain sight. Great game or gift for cat lovers!

"Expert" level takes some effort, perfect for 8-9 yr old to "strategize." Can play alone or as a team. If you love dogs and puzzles, and don't take yourself too seriously, it's a fun game.

I have played this game with my 8-year old child and I am still debating the positives and negatives associated with the game, but I believe it is a very clever and interesting game. My biggest complaint with the game is that there are not more "Beginner" scenarios for the younger kids; with ten cards tagged as easy it is not enough for a game targeting the younger end of the spectrum, which was the reason I bought this game in the first place. With what cards are in the package for the easier scenarios, it is fun to keep the younger folks engaged in the game. My wife and noticed that we get to the "Intermediate" level is where the 8-year old child has little to add, an at the "Advanced" level is where the 8-year old child is not able to contribute than moving pieces around. I will wish that the game maker has plans to offer extra cards to be bought to enable more play time. Very cool game concept but wish there were more cards available to have more playing time.

This game can be played by older kids and adults as the "Intermediate", "Advanced", and "Expert" levels are geared towards those age groups.

My kids are 4-9 years old, and ALL of them liked this game. The 4 year old can't do it independently, but he still loved helping. It kept the older two kids occupied for hours. I loved that it taught them logic and they took to the game easily. We even gifted one to a friend recently. We will probably buy the dog version soon, too.

As a retired elementary school teacher, I like to find alternatives for my grandsons to their IPad videos and electronic games. A couple of years ago, I ordered Cat Crimes for the older one (now10) who loves cats. We played it a couple of times, but didn’t really get into it. This week the younger one (7) pulled it out. He loves animals. We worked on it together with me reading the cards & him placing the cats around the board. He really enjoyed it & begged me to order Dog Crimes ( he likes their 2 cats, but is more into dogs). So I did and it arrived the next day. Today both boys worked on a few cards in the Dog Crimes game & really enjoyed it. I did too as I was helping them. I think it works well with 2 people. One reads the card & the other places the animals. The game comes in a box about the size of a Kindle tablet. The characters are made of sturdy cardboard & are of a nice size. They have cardboard stands, so they stand up. The crimes are printed on round cardboard circles that you place on the playing board. I like logic games & the 3-D aspect makes this fun for kids.

My kids were gifted Cat Crimes and loved it so we bought this to compliment it. Its a great game for children and adults alike, and really gets you thinking.
You have a board with 8 dogs and a number of cards of varying difficulty. The aim is to place the dogs in the right positions based on the clues. Its not as easy as it sounds! Its a game of deduction and lateral thinking and is great to play together. Likewise you can play it yourself, so good for those families where not everyone likes board games or perhaps only children.
