Turk tells Morty's story while remaining true to the series theme of a legal thriller involving Attorney Benjamin Davis. This is the third book that reveals more about Morty and Benjamin. Each novel can stand alone as a read, but together, the entire Benjamin Davis series a testament that our legal system is a crucible where justice prevails. Third Coast is the best A. Turk book to date, mainly because Morty is so endearing as a character and person. This is a definite must read.

Ok, so I've now read Turk's third book. Hard to put down. At first, I thought that, perhaps, he'd gone just a little overboard with all the legal terminology. After the first third of the book though, it seemed to smooth out and was a nice read. Learned a LOT about the complexities of a civil trial, how it's conducted, etc. Very enjoyable.

Just starting Third Coast.
Having completed Turks "first 2" books, ( very good reads!) but was angry when I discovered that book 3 (Third Coast), should have been labeled number 1 in the series.
Please read this book FIRST, then , "First Do No Harm", and lastly "Second Degree."
Much more enjoyable.......

I really enjoyed this book. The main characters were three dimensional. The plot compelling. The best part was the history of parts of the 2nd World War and the generation that fought it. If you don't read any other book of this trilogy, read this one.

Wonderful and exciting story about accountability and responsibility

When I started reading the kindle book, I found it interesting but couldn't quite figure out where I was being led. As I continued to read, I fell in love with the characters and their lives. I read the first two Benjamin Davis books and Third Coast was a bit more involved with how I see "real life people". It was such a good story that I didn't want it to end. I would highly recommend it.

I read the first two books, enjoyed the first one more than the second, but was excited that there was a third. I was disappointed for a number of reasons. The overall story was good, although I kept having to remind myself that it took place in the mid 80's. There would have been no question as to the standard of care for a pharmacist today. But the music aspect of the story added nothing, I grew tired of reading about Ben Davis' food issues, and the judge's instructions at the beginning of the trial were exactly the same as ones in the earlier books - "equal opportunity yeller" was clever the first time I read it. The pace of the book seemed very uneven compared to the first two books. And the term for the device that was implanted is a "stent", not "stint". Probably an editorial thing but enough to be annoying as the term was misspelled several times throughout the book
