It says on the box "non-direct food contact with tray". What's the point of a charcuterie board that you have to use plates on? I could have overlooked the cheap wood top but I want a board I can put food on. Not worth the money.

It says on the box "non-direct food contact with tray". What's the point of a charcuterie board that you have to use plates on? I could have overlooked the cheap wood top but I want a board I can put food on. Not worth the money.

After relinquishing a job to a local vendor that I usually make myself, they unfortunately dropped the ball and I had to think quick before the couples wedding! I went everywhere and there was not enough time for a hand crafted piece to be made! I stumbled across this awesome tray on the second attempt on here and so glad I did!! With a little help from a vendor for the hand cut letters and finding wrought iron pieces from our local craft store this wine barrel lid tray turned into an awesome cake stand!! All they need to do is reattach the handles (which the company provides the tool you need!) and they have a wonderful useful keepsake!! The wood and metal are very nice and it has a beautiful smell!! Between the super fast shipping and very reasonably priced item this was a great purchase! So glad I came across this!! Thank you!!

I love this item and am so happy I bought it. Even after reading the negative review. Don't let that deter you. When I got this item, I was pleasantly surprised at the size, finish and look of it. It's beautiful and perfect for my charcuterie board I'm making. It's a super easy assembly and the allen wrench is included to attach the handles. I placed a milk carton on one of my pictures to get an idea of size. I can't wait to use this. Even thinking about purchasing another one.
