For anyone who is a fan of this series, this is a "Must read". And while I suggest you read the series in order, and then read the companion novels, there is no rule on this...each book can stand alone, but they do build on one another.
Very well written, and the imagery is perfectly dead-on (no pun, intended).
Shani Struthers gives just enough details, for your imagination to fill in the rest...when reading a supernatural thriller, it's the perfect blend of "show, and tell".
The tale this novel covers is rich in depicting the Isle of Skye and the abandoned lighthouse Ness has been asked to investigate. I loved the way it flowed, and the layout and reveal for both past and present happenings. I also love the way the history of a location such as the lighthouse is detailed. I’ve always been interested in such things.
I would love to read more about Ness and her career as another companion to the Psychic Surveys series!
But overall, this book is great. I highly recommend it.

Would I recommend?
Hell yes! This (and the rest of the psychic surveys books) are an absolute must read in my opinion.
I enjoyed this book very much - it's an exciting story and one that is difficult to put down - you just want to know what happens - and also being familiar with the Isle of Skye, I enjoyed visualising the locations as she travelled around with her companion Angus. Highly recommended.
