From the description of the book i thought this would be a sweet romance without a lot of drama and villains. Not at all the case and then you get a cliff hanger of an ending which you don't expect because it is not clearly stated in the book description that it is only a part of a book! Left me totally frustrated and I won't be buying the next one!

Review:

"Thirty Days Have September" by BiBi Paterson....

"Set in London and Brighton, Thirty Days is a fabulously provocative romance series that gives you a very steamy love affair between a hot guy and an unsure heroine, baked goods and some rather unexpected twists and turns along the way.

Shy and unassuming, Abigail James loves to bake. She dreams of opening her own dessert café but instead she spends her days working as a data analyst and sneaking in her cakes as the company’s ‘diet assassin’ on the side.

Taylor Hudson, the enigmatic owner of Hudson International, has been captivated by Abby’s innocence and quiet charm since the day she started working for the company. However, his history with women is marred by personal circumstances and he has vowed to stay away.

A chance meeting sees Abby’s world turned upside down when, drawn in by Taylor’s chocolate brown eyes and unexpected kindness, she starts on a journey of attraction that will see her heart and soul laid bare.

While their attraction is mutual, both Abby and Taylor have their own inner demons that they need to overcome if their relationship can move forward for them to find their own happily ever after.
Due to the nature of the content this book is intended for mature audiences."

What I liked from the read....

"Thirty Day Have September" may have started similar to 'Fifty Shades' starting off but it wasn't and the more I read there were many surprises that came from this novel.

I actually loved this book and could not stop reading. It was a well written book that I found to be very enjoyable. It was heartfelt and had me crying at times the ending was a surprise and I can't wait to read the next book. Abby is the daughter of two very successful models who watch every calorie, travel the world, and ignore their daughter. She majored in business because they didn't think it was enough to major in Culinary Arts. So she now works in an office and bakes on the side. Taylor is the owner the company Abby works for. He discovers she is the secret cupcake lady and takes an interest in her. As Abby and Taylor get to know each other, they share some steamy sex scenes.

The title of the book “Thirty Days Hath September” was what intrigued me most to pick this book. This is a story told in 30 days of September, it has more sequels but I was not aware of them when I picked the book. The romance is sweet, sensual and funny at times. The writer is very clear of what she wants to convey and the story moves at a fast pace. Add to that the fact that she tells the tale of what happened in 30 days, it is quite a lot going on and a lot of changes take place.

The story has romance, suspense, mystery and drama to make it n interesting read. I read the book in two sittings and now want to know what happens in the series next. Even though this is almost a stand alone book but the writing and ending is such that you wish to grab the next book in the series immediately.

The book deals with a lot of serious, grown up stuff. Conflict, threats death and even depression are dealt with a gentle hand in this book. Just when we think that there is smooth sailing a new challenge presents itself to the lovers. I found that the story meandered a bit in the middle but overall it all comes together and the ending definitely surprised me. There was a lot happening in the book and I got so involved in their life and love.

The hero, Taylor is smart; self made, kind and handsome is everything a hero can be and more. Caring, thoughtful and dashing he falls in love with Abigial who is a simple, sweet, pretty down to earth girl. The romance is sizzling and the chemistry just rocks with fast paced writing by the author. She does justice to all the secondary characters as well. The grandmothers evoke so much respect and love. Her writing made me emotional while reading the book.

"Complimentary copy provided by author/publisher for an honest review."

The first thing that caught my attention was ☞ If you loved Fifty Shades, Bared to You, The Stark Trilogy and The Ivy Lessons then you will love this fabulously provocative romance from debut author Bibi Paterson!

I ADORE 'FSOG', I LOVED 'BARED TO YOU' I didn't like 'The Stark trilogy' that much and I haven't read 'The Ivy Lessons'. So that being said, i was up for the challenge.

I don't have any problems reading stories that were inspired by other stories. That happens a lot and sometimes that story happens to be better than the original, but when the similarities are endless. When the words, sentences, scenes keep reminding you of FSOG,Then we have a problem.

What really bothered me was the fact that I didn't feel the characters. I didn't feel the story.

As a writer, you know THERE will be HIGH expectations if you say "If you 'FSOG' or 'BARED TO YOU' then you will love 'Thirty Days have September'

I had those expectations.

☆☆☆I gave it 3 Donuts Stars because it was well written. On occasion there are repetitions on how the writer describes a reaction, but i was ok with that.

As usual, don't let this stop you. Read it and be the judge.
