Fun, and surprisingly thought provoking

Up front I have to say that I'm not a fan of Wu-Tang's music. I have always been intrigued by their imagery and the strange, mash up worldview put forth by their members. With that in mind I decided to give this book a read.
All around, it is a pretty impressive anthology. Each story was entertaining, and some where even thought provoking. There is a lot of cool imagery in this book, mixed up with over the top violence, and street philosophy.
While they are all winners, the stories that most stood out to me are Abbot of the White Lotus, HellRZA, and Supreme Mathematics: A Cipher.

This is an eclectic and interesting anthology. I enjoyed all of it, and some of the pieces are absolutely stellar. I have a feeling if I'd gotten into Wu-Tang Clan much when I was younger that I'd dig it even more, but I could still dig it even only being somewhat familiar. It's some good stuff, well worth reading and enjoying.

From what I read it feels more like a guy who has seen documentaries rather than experienced ...

Format: Kindle Edition

Give more details. Make it more human. Nothing silly or gory but maybe more emotional involvement with the characters. Feel what they must feel, which is living in a war zone that isn't considered a war zone by international standards. We treat other parts of the world as "international incidents" and "terror" but yet we still neglect Mexico even when thousands have died from a drug war that we fostered and colluded with by way of snorting our way into it. From what I read it feels more like a guy who has seen documentaries rather than experienced what it's like to deal with people who live that life,or have gone through personal tragedy in the ongoing "War on Drugs," so it deserves a more personal touch if you can capture that. I understand it's a hard subject to deal with--I've had plenty of friends who are no longer here to be witnesses --but if you're able to, you can make a compelling argument for us not to build a wall, but to tear one down instead. We have a giant, awkwardly-orange-faced- Baby Man in office....so let's move on and write a story that defies this moron....Still a good read, and good job, guys.....It's Bill, by the way...take care...
