I did not need the brand names, excessive wealth and fame shoved down my throat at EVERY opportunity to understand that these characters had money. In the middle of a sexy scene, we even had brand names in the description. WHO CARES WHAT BRAND BOXERS HE'S WEARING?!? A sexy man in black boxers is appealing unto itself.
I get it, she's beautiful, she's sweet, she's amazing!! The overuse of *My sweet, Zara* got old, really, really old. The hero was a little too perfect, to be honest. His one stumbling in their romance was completely justified and he forgave her very quickly. Her excuse was LAME!!
Every time there was drama, alcohol was brought out to soothe, fix or celebrate. I'm all for a drink or two but even I found this excessive.
I'm sorry to say but I think my tastes in contemporary romance stories have changed. I think my age and lack of tolerance has impacted my beliefs in a fairytale...unbelievable romance. I was a little distracted by editing issues as well. Overly descriptive paragraphs that did not progress the story or enhance the scene, drove me a little crazy, while the incorrect spelling and grammar made my eye twitch. I believe a good proofreader/editor could have easily fixed some of the glaring mistakes.
This is Crazy will appeal to a wide range of romance readers but unfortunately, it wasn't right for me. It had a mutual attraction between the hero and heroine, sizzling chemistry and a happy ever after to leave readers satisfied. I also bought this story for $1.00 which is a bargain.
What started as a joke over Twitter quickly become the most swoony and HAF love story. Evan is one of the hottest hockey players around, the perennial playboy that Zara hits up to crash her ex’s wedding and resulted in them finding themselves in a relationship first as friends then lovers. This one is a little bit of a slow burn, but not really. When you read it, you’ll understand why I say this.
Oh Evan, he’s just so sexy, playful, respectful and totally a man to swoon over. Zara isn’t quite sure what to do with herself when they finally meet in person and their chemistry is palpable. Sweet Zara just doesn’t know what to do with herself and when they kiss, she feels it all over her body….
“His tongue slowly rolls over mine, the kiss so slow that I savor it. I’ll remember this kiss forever. It’s a kiss I’ve dreamed about; it’s the kiss that my sisters would tell me about that I never had, a kiss that every single little girl dreams about having.”
I loved this couple together so, so much. He’s a man that is just right for this headstrong young woman. He definitely doesn’t back down when her brother and brother-in-law try to read him the riot act. In fact it was quite hilarious when Matthew and Max were “laying down the law!” Even more funny is that Zara isn’t as into hockey as you’d think she would be given who her father, brother and brother-in-law are…if you’ll remember back to Something So Right at the very end when Cooper was trying to get her and her twin Zoe to skate…I was rolling!!
What I fell in love with the most in this book is how Evan literally wooed Zara. And when he loved on her it was heart meltingly sexy, hot and gasp worthy; they’re definitely not shy when it comes to the sexy times. But most important is they became best friends wanting to spend all their time together.
Ms. Madison has written a book that had me transfixed to my kindle with this story. There’s heat, love, devotion, adoration and everything in between. In it’s totality this is the ultimate love story that I will be reading over and over again!!!
I just had a few issues with this book. There was a comment or two about Dallas that may be true, but I just couldn’t buy them. Second, the hero is such a hunk. He is almost perfect. I want one of him. He consistently was ragging on what the heroine was wearing and telling her to go change. Being a sexy caveman, I can give it an occasional pass. It seems like it was a theme of the book and it rubbed me the wrong way. Last, the book dragged a little at the end before the epilogues. I didn’t appreciate who they made the villain and dragging those issues out.
Even though I had a list of issues, this book was so much fun. I look forward to reading the series this spun off from and the rest of the books in this series.

This is crazy is a fun filled, swoony, laugh out loud easy read that will bring you nothing but happy feelings.
If you know Natasha Madison you will have read her outstanding Something So Series, if you haven’t, firstly which rock have you been living under? And secondly, get right on that! Though This is Crazy is a stand-alone, if you’ve read the Something So Series, you will already know and love these characters. Zara Stone is the daughter of NHL royalty, Cooper Stone is the player every up and coming hockey star wants to be, and records they want to beat, she’s also the sister of another of hockey’s stars, Matthew Grant, and sister-in-law to Mad Max Horton (they’re a big deal family, you get the picture). After heartbreak at the hands of a man she thought she loved, Zara goes looking for revenge in the form of a tweet to her ex’s favourite hockey player, Evan Richards, publicly inviting him on a date. To both their surprises Evan says yes!
This story has everything p, a group of girls you want to go out for drinks with and be best friends with and a group of overprotective alpha men who don’t like to see Zara grown up, as well as the sexiest, most romantic book boyfriend ever! As always with Natasha’s books, they just get better and better, this for me is like a bowl of chicken noodle soup on a freezing cold day, it’s everything you want and need, comforting and enjoyable, wrapping you up in a hug.
If I could, I’d give this book a million stars, but I can’t so 5 will have to do! Read this book now and also see the sneak peek at Zara’s twin sister Zoe’s love interest, who book 2 is about!
Zara is devastated but is given the old it's me not you type of rubbish.
After a while Zara moves on and then she reads that Ed has a new woman one he is engaged to.
So after some thought and tequila Zara tweets Eds idol Evan Richards asking him if he would be her date to crash Eds wedding.
It all starts from there.
Evan is a hockey player and Zara does not date Hockey players.
This book I could not put it down loved every bit of it . Loved characters from earlier books making appearances loved the new characters and cant wait to hear more from them all. You must read this book.
A well deserved 5*
Plus, I have to say it was great to catch up with so many of my favourite characters and the romance between Evan and Zara was spot on. Not to mention I loved how it all developed from that one crazy reactionary tweet to a happy ever after, that had me swooning. And I really can't wait to read more from this series, especially from Zara's twin sister Zoe. Who was fabulous throughout. And I would happily recommend it to others.
Who would have thought a sample # could produce such a hot, sizzling book!
Zara dumped by her boyfriend decides to get back at him by asking his hockey idol Evan Richards on a date to crash her ex's wedding! Evan not one to back down from a challenge excepts and then the fun and sizzle really begins.
I love that you get to hear from all the characters from the previous books in the series and to see that they are still as funny and entertaining as ever!
I am so looking forward to Zoe's story - Zaras twin coming up next!
Well done Natasha
I love the characters and can't wait for the next books in this series.
Zara Stone was never a fan of hockey although her whole family is obsessed with the sport. She has promised herself to never date a player since she knows how complicated their lives can get. Zara has chosen a completely different path for herself - she has become a stylist for celebrities and she got herself a solid, nice guy. But instead of proposing marriage he breaks up with her leaving her entirely devasted. When she sees a post on Instagram a few months later with her ex and his fiancé announcing their engagement she decides to show him that she is so over him.
And what she is going to do after a few Tequila shots will make you crack up so hard. This girl has so much sass and attitude. Her girl posse will chear her on for the bold move while her male family members will not be amused at all. Zara puts effort and passion into everything she does. So when she decides to give this special thing between her and Evan a try she will go all in - mind and heart - knowing that it's so worth it.
Evan Richards is a talented hockey player who is currently riding his career high and is determined to make a name for himself in the league. When Zara Stone, hockey’s ultimate princess, tags him in a tweet and asks him to crash her ex’s wedding with her he immediately agrees. Two things can come out of this - either a PR nightmare or a fun night with a beautiful woman. It all started as a game born out of a spontaneous idea. But in the end it turned into something both weren't looking for. Although it seems crazy it also feels so right.
Evan will very soon realize that Zara is the one for him and that she is worth fighting for. The way he was openly wooing her and trying to win her over was absolutely swoon-worthy. Evan is a poster boy of a handsome and successful hockey player but he is also a true gentleman. Neither Zara's male family members' not so subtle threats nor the distance between New York and Dallas could keep him away from the woman he loves.
I've thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. If you're a fan of funny and also exciting sports romances with intriguing and relatable characters than you need to pick up this amazing story right now! Natasha has perfectly and effortlessly tied these two series together and I seriously can't wait to see what she has in tow for Zoe, Zara's twin sister, and Vivienne - their friend. I'm definitely going to check them out.
I regret to say that I wonder whether this book was professionally edited. If it was, perhaps an older draft was sent out for publication in error.
In some ways, I feel this might be the best book Natasha Madison has ever written. With more polish, it could have been a 5 star novel. Sadly, it missed the mark due to all the grammatical errors.
While I wouldn’t detractor stars for it, this book had a lot of intimate scenes. While I have no issue with descriptive scenes if they help advance the plot line and help us better feel the characters’ caring for each other, the number of sex scenes in this book felt excessive to me. That might just be personal preference, though.
I plan to read the next book in the series, but I really hope the grammatical errors have been addressed.
Zara is a sweet but usually very mouthy girl but she can't seem to concentrate around a certain someone and all her rules change. Evan loves his family and his hockey but all it takes is one tweet and life as he knows it will forever be changed.
I would definitely recommend this book and author to anyone who loves an epic love. I hope you love this book as much as I have. Happy Reading ♡
