However, when they are assigned to go to training seminar, their chemistry gets the better of them, and they hook up. Now he's after her to have a relationship with him, but she's not having any of it. This is when it gets really crazy, because all kinds of drama ensues, especially when her secret gets out despite her being a vault. Several secondaries add more to the plot in several different ways, whether it be good, bad, or ugly. My biggest issue was that it seemed a bit rushes, especially the ending, because I really wanted it to be longer. Anyway, I'm excited to read more about these amazing sisters, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Tyrell/Ty Beauregard Collingsworth, is a detective in the new station. He comes from a wealthy family and knows all about having to prove himself to his co-workers. What starts out as two co-workers always sparring at each other, starts to change after a weekend away in training. But Frankie has been burned before and stops the relationship before it starts.
The story was engaging and we get a chance to visit with some characters from the author’s series, To Serve and Protect. Which by the way, is where the first of the Gentileschi princesses is introduced. As well as get a chance to meet and/or reacquaint ourselves with the other sisters.
I appreciate the fact that the author gives the reader strong, independent women as well as men that appreciate them.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Ty doesn’t understand why she is so rude and closed off to everyone and him in particular. When they are sent away as partners on a one week course all she wants to do is ensure that he doesn’t find out about her past but as the week progresses he manages to break through her walls and the feelings between them ignite. For the sake of their careers they both agree to end their relationship when they return to the task force however what happens when her past is revealed?
I am enjoying this series about the Princess sisters and how they all want to be accepted and appreciated for the women they are and not their title and I am looking forward to Evvie’s story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I expect to enjoy the rest of this series and was glad I read this book.
