"They continually destroyed each other; it was terribly good. Can you admit to loving a book that left you so crushed for the majority of the novel?"  iErlyn Books Hug Back Blog

"Warning: This book is not for the faint of heart, be prepared for angst and as such you might want chocolate, a box of tissues, a protective case for your kindle, and someone to hold your hand or at least talk with during this roller coaster ride of a story." Back Off My Books Blog

"So if you love a good angst filled dramatic romance...this one is amazing. I give it five stars." Reading Haven

"It's been months since I felt so emotionally impacted by a book, I highly recommend you give This Much Is True a chance. It's not just a love story it's a life story about learning to love yourself first. This story is so much more than you can imagine or than I ever expected."  Romance RW Blog

"How much heartbreak can one person survive?" That will pretty much be the question you ask yourself every 20 minutes while reading this story. It's a very powerful love story that spans years as well as unforgivable mistreatment from both the hero and the heroine... If you're looking for a bubblegum/beach read with plenty of hot sex and racy scenes, and ripped abs... this is NOT your story... (Don't get me wrong, the sex is there, so are the hot guys and the callous treatment of true love by two people too damaged to acknowledge the rarity and importance of what they have found so early in life... The one night stands and meaningless flings suffered through in the futile hope that it might help purge the one they love and miss so desperately from their memory and their hearts once and for all... the story is about Tally and Linc's journey towards learning what should be really most important in life... And learning to admit that they both deserve happines... That everyone deserves happiness in life...)

If you're looking for something a little different, something that will frustrate you as well as break your heart from start to finish, while also making you envy the possibility that a love-bond that unbreakable could truly, possibly exist out in the real world... "This Much Is True" by Katherine Owen definitely fits that bill.

This much is true: no matter how much of a book slump you've been in lately, you will definitely feel something if you attempt to read this story... And chances are, more than likely, you'll be just as much in love with both Tally and Linc, as you are infuriated by them... I hope that helps!

I don't even know where to start. This was a DNF. I purchased this book and it is an honest review (not a blogger) so I won't sugar coat it. I put it on my list to read because of all the five stars but I don't get it... at all. Without relieving spoilers the story is about Tally, Lucas and the surrounding characters tragedy strikes our young Tally (and young I mean 17) and then the book is about her grief, her story and how horrible she is to Lucas and everyone around her. The dialog is choppy, sloppy and short. There were so many cliques in the dialog... "the power shifted to me...the power shifted to her...now power to me.." That went on for pages. It started out rocky, got interesting when Lucas showed up and then just really fell apart. The plot was so predicable I had to stop rolling my eyes for fear that they would permanently stay that way. I never met a character I hated more but I guess that was the author's point, right? Even at the end when it's all tied up in a nice neat happy ending bow she still was an unlikeable person.

DNF-did not finish however, I skipped through the story and was able to understand the plot enough on how Tally tortured Lucas throughout. I really don't like writing reviews like this...it feels disrespectful to the author but save your money...there are much better novels out there

Who would have thought that you could get so much from a book with a girl leaning against a wall? o.O Surely not me!! I think I should start a 'Don't judge a book by it's cover' list because this is definitely one of them.

Initially when I saw the amount of pages and began the story, I thought this book is unnecessarily long, and had a constant repetition of sentences from the characters. There's even a point when they start to say they've said that already. I got what she was trying to do, but c'mon now. Once or twice is enough!

Still, this does remain a lengthy novel. If authors cut out the cliffhangers and trilogies, this is what we would get. The funny thing is, at times I wanted less, and then when we got to the end I needed more.

I am conflicted, flustered and don't even know where to start. It feels like I have been reading this story over a period of years as oppose to 2 days. And in retrospect, if not for having an event, I would have read this 500 page novel in a day, because it is that good.

This series closely relates the 'Love me with lies' series by Tarryn Fisher. Occasionally I swear I was reading the story of Olivia and Caleb again, only this time fate was standing in the way as oppose to each other. Tally has issues, and this is even before all the trauma in her life. I am not sure as to why she was the way before the story even began, but over time she develops more issues that only Linc seems to break through.

After a grueling and emotionally stirring novel, I finally got the ending that I wanted from this series. But boy was it at a cost. I went through the motions with this series. I was captured by the first accident scene, and love that we got to spend time with Holly, regardless of how brief.

This Much Is True by Katherine Owen is a heart-wrenching, staggeringingly tragic yet beautiful romantic tale of two people brought together by tragedy and loss.

This story is very well-written, perfectly paced, and for the emotional depth of the story, the depth of the characters is well matched.

You will cry and you will laugh but most of all you will be awed at the realness of these people.

My usual recommendations for a book like this...Wine, chocolate and a good snuggle spot/reading nook. Oh, and tissues. You'll definitely need tissues.
