This is My Body will deeply transform one's negative sense of self to that of an accepting, forgiving, gentle, loving, nurturing, respectful, and trustworthy friend.
Westerfield has designed an eye-opening, empowering and heart wrenching inspirational testament to start the dialogue for women on their healing journey by sharing their experience, strength and hope.
Westerfield’s painful, powerful and provocative book is a must-read for all women. Clearly, This is My Body should be required in schools across the globe, as well as, given to students with their college and university welcome packets.
Everyone knows Taryn Brumfitt, the founder of Body Image Movement and director and writer of Embrace; and now, I’d like to introduce everyone to June Stevens Westerfield, the brilliant creator of This is My Body.
Thank you, Ms. Westerfield, for your amazing contribution to help eradicate the negative effects on self-esteem and body image with what I hope is the first volume of many of This is My Body. Brava!
