Tom's cartoons were mainy about his marketing experience as well as others' - board meetings, clients, agencies, brand developments, top-down and decisions and even daily hazards of 'making too many changes'. I love his sum-ups on clients and agencies love-hate relationships, painful changes on creative and marketing plans, word of mouth and going green. Often these are experiences we bite and move on, probably talk over drinks and hope the next day would be better. I just don't expect the day to be funny too, finding Tom's cartoons of the industry so spot-on and succinctly well expressed. Anything you like to know about marketing and advertising, Tom's Brand Camp explained brilliantly with fun, except you will probably return to his book again unlike most marketing and advertising books?
Some of my favourite cartoons by Tom:
The last mile - Client wants the logo bigger!
Poser Marketing - Brands clueless and sick of social media.
(Out of) Control Freak - Boss who appears to control and yet no interest in your work.
