But this book was so realistic in describing how Caryn dealt with Drew's betrayal and emotional issues me her crazy pregnancy hormones and all-day sickness. And in how the two of them went about trying to resolve their issues. It was so touching in places, while in others, I wanted to beat some of the characters and they made me sooo frustrated.
Robyn does such a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life and making them relatable. After three books, these characters seem like family and I was thoroughly invested in them - even the secondary characters. (Would love follow-up stories about Lauren and/or Tom!) This was just the perfect way to wrap up Caryn and Andrew's story! Loved, loved, loved it!!
Drew had his moments throughout the series when he needed to be slapped and at times a bit worse. He needed to grow up and take on more responsibility for his actions and thing about the consequences of his actions beforehand. This one was more emotional and more real than the two books before. We get the chance to feel the pains, sorrows, meltdowns, pick up, and all with Caryn and her pregnancy. The emotional rollercoaster that Drew had her on with is betrayal and own person issues. She was clear about what she needed, and Drew seemed to be the hold out. Caryn was the one that needed more support and was not getting it from the person she most deserved to have it from.
The story had that feel of evolving from book one. The growth was evident in both the writing, storyline, characters and the encompassing package. We get the final installment and the drama that goes with the life of a sports star that feels like he’s losing something. Life’s ups and downs were felt. This read brought out the demons, emotions, and a bat to take upside a few heads. This was engaging all the way through.
In the past I stated that you did not read the first book to enjoy the second book but now I revise that. To get the full affect of the journey of both Caryn and Drew, I highly suggest you read all three books in order and make you determination.
This is the conclusion of Caryn and Andrew's story. and OMG I
cried so many times while reading this, Caryn is still not sure
if she is ready to open her heart back up to Drew, Drew has realized
how badly he messed up, The complete story is amazingly written
they way the author wrote about Drew's TBI issues, the mood swings
And OMG that woman hitting on him and lying to Caryn and trying to
cause problems, I was crying tears of Joy when I finished this book
I do hope we get a book (or 3 LOL) About Tom, He was such a key
character in not only helping Caryn but his brother Drew as well. I HIGHLY HIGHLY
recommend this book
The usual characters are there and hopefully we will get to read a story
about Tom and Lauren in the future.
If you haven't read any of her books, I would definately recommend them.
Be forewarned there is drama and a lot of stubborness on both parts.
I voluntarily read and gave my honest review.
