Patricia Paris has written a delightful cast of characters that have good times, bad times, and some real punches to the gut that will have readers holding back tears. This is a great read for those looking for a contemporary romance with a healthy dose of depth. - San Francisco Book Review --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
About the Author
Patricia Paris lives in the Chesapeake Bay area of Maryland with her husband John; a lazy, but lovable cat named Shiloh; and James Brown, aka JB, the baddest, but also, most lovable dog in town. When not writing, you're likely to find the author exploring the Bay area's small towns and waterways, which provide endless inspiration for her writing; battling the weeds that insist on invading her gardens; or, being an avid foodie, experimenting with a new recipe in her kitchen. Patricia admits to being an unapologetic romantic, and she loves to give her readers that happily ever after, every time. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

It's love at first sight for Blake and Delaney and, early on in the story, the expected happens. However, it's what occurs beyond that which makes the story interesting and engaging. I'm not going to give anything away but suffice it to say that circumstances tear the lovers apart. The author then did an excellent job of maintaining the tension and conflict between two people you very much want to get togther. Will they or won't they?
Add an adorable kid, a puppy and an ending that had me alternately laughing and crying and you've got a book well worth investing your time and money in.
I, for one, will be reading another Patricia Paris novel very soon.
This Time Forever is a lovely romance with a unique story. The characters may start on the pages of a novel, but lift themselves up out of the story to become as real as your own friends and family. You connect to Delaney, Blake and Ben easily, and wish the very best for them. Patricia Paris created a lovely group of characters, a beautiful backdrop, and an amazing story that you will enjoy from the first page to the last. I enjoyed this novel so much, I have already downloaded book two in the series, Letters to Gabriella.
Delaney Brannigan comes to Glebe Point for one purpose: To gather information on the father of her recently deceased cousin's son, Ben. Delaney plans on adopting Ben, but first feels obligated to confirm that his father, Blake Morrison, is indeed the abusive person her cousin had claimed him to be. When a dashing man dressed as the Lone Ranger catches her eye at the town's Halloween party and closes her evening with a passionate kiss, Delaney is stunned to learn a couple days later that her cowboy is Blake. Having no clue whose cousin she is, Blake asks her out on a date. They fall for one another hard and fast, with Delaney's deception looming over them, threatening to rob her of everything she desires.
This is a well written romance that I read late into the night and finished in the morning. In other words, it is a page-turner. The engaging story and characters certainly contributed to the pleasant reading experience, as did Paris's perfect balance of description and pacing. The story isn't bogged down with irrelevant details. It flows. I really appreciated her writing style, too.
There's a review titled "Sweet and Steamy," which sums up Book 1 in the Glebe Point series. The story grabs the heart; Blake and Delaney sizzle. In plain English: Recommended for a mature audience.
Patricia did a wonderful job of developing the characters' personalities and the different relationships with their sometimes complicated interactions. The imagery was exceptionally well done; the brilliant and vivid descriptions created a reality that fully gripped my emotions so that I really felt like I was part of the story. I especially liked the dialogues as they were engaging, authentic, and a lot of fun to read. I was really rooting for Delaney and Blake to work things out because when Blake learned that Delaney had been keeping Ben a secret from him, he really blew up! I was so glad that there was a HEA ending. I enjoyed reading this sweet story very much and I've already bought the next book. I definitely recommend reading it to anyone who likes romance novels.
