Many thanks to the author for the time taken to write this book, for his efforts, for the part of himself that he put to paper for everyone to know and to take away what they will. I very much appreciate knowing his perspective of life from a Christian viewpoint, particularly since mine differs. It's a joy to know that he has been able to share what worked well for him with so many other people, so that they can use it in a way that is beneficial in their own lives.
While he doesn't reveal any new information about his "MTM" and "Love Boat" days, he does talk a lot about them and says he enjoyed all his co-stars and loved becoming famous at long last. He has a lot to say about his two marriages and why the first one ended, which was surprising to me.
MacLeod comes across as a likable, level-headed, sincere man with an interesting life to share. The book is well-written, has a lot of photographs, and I recommend it.
Held my interest up until the last 3 chapters when he started preaching about God- but you can skim through those. Other than that - I would recommend this book if you were a fan of The Love Boat - which I was and still am.
Also - his story about Bette Davis is hysterical - she's my all time favorite "movie star" and she lived up to her reputation at his home for dinner one evening.
