I bought a pair of Thonet & Vander Kürbis speakers for my teenage daughter a little over a year ago. I used to borrow them when I wanted to listen to music on my patio. Now that she has taken them with her to college, I had to buy a pair of Kürbis speakers for myself.

If you regularly listen to music wirelessly through a point source speaker like an Amazon Echo or a Bose Soundlink, you should give the Kürbis speakers a try. You'll wonder how you lived without true stereo speakers for so long. I've never had a problem with Bluetooth connectivity through my iPhone and the auxiliary input works perfectly with my Amazon Echo Dot. The quality of the sound is terrific. The speakers never distort, the stereo image is expansive, the clarity is impressive even through Bluetooth and they get plenty loud for my old ears.

Give Kürbis speakers a try and rediscover your favorite music. You won't be sorry.

These are very versatile. They are easy enough to move to another room/outside or plug in to a TV when needed. Only takes about 2 mins to move them and set up. The sound is excellent, clarity is really great. Mid-bass is super.

Some considerations, but not enough to fault the product-
1. They do not have a remote, so you have to pay attention to where the speaker with the volume knob is.
2. There is distortion and falloff of the sub-bass but it is a minor issue for most music. It's not too noticeable unless you are looking for it, and you should really have a subwoofer at that point.
3. Note that these are actually Chinese. They are not made in Germany. So YMMV on durability.
4. For what I assume is for power saving purposes, they turn off after a few minutes of not receiving any input signal. After any input signal they turn on and power up after about 1 second.

Ok I just got these and they are suppose to weigh over 18lbs one ad even says 19 lbs my box weighed less than 16 lbs so that immediately disappointed me and tells me the manufacture must have started making the cabinet thinner or went with a smaller magnet. As far as the sound these are suppose to have great bass for their size and I am not hearing it. I tested them out to listening to rock and they seem to be best suited for that as they pop more than thump when trying to listen to R & b. I listen to some G3 Live John Petrucci Glasgow kiss, Joe Satriani Made of tears live and a little bit or Mr Big, April Wine, Creed, Dream Theater and they sounded pretty good but I wouldn't say great!

When I tried to listen to Some Mariah Carey, Christina Aquilera Mary J they sounded terrible as the deep bass notes popped make them sound like a really cheap badly made speaker.

I don't think these things are 30 watts per channel either as someone who sold high end audio equipment for years I can tell you what I heard was nothing close to 30 watts and the 340 peak watts listed in the advertising and on the box well that is a joke.

I am giving these 2 stars based on sound quality alone who care what they look like or how easy they are to set up you buy speakers for sound quality and sound quality alone and I will most likely will be returning these as I bought them for my computer room and honestly the sound quality to me just sucks. About the only thing I like about them is the tweeters pretty good listening to rock or live rock and so does the rest but I would not recommend for jazz R & b rap unless you rigged a subwoofer to these

I've bought these speakers a little over 2 months ago, and I wanted to wait a little until I reviewed and break them in. Well, I'll admit, I'm loving them ! I have them hooked up to my turntable, and they sound great. I also use the bluetooth function for my computer/mobile. No issues or problems with connecting. Easy to set up out of the box, and I really appreciate the volume, treble and bass knobs not he side. It's nice to adjust the treble and bass depending on the album. It's easy to reach the power switch in back too.Cosmetically I like how they look...nice black stained wood grain, and I keep the screens on the front. I live in a 850square foot condo building, and these puppies are more than loud enough. Very nice bass response and low end I might add...and I play bass in a band so I'm picky. If you are looking for something to rock your living room, tv, computer, turntable I would highly recommend these, especially if you live in an apartment, or have a room mate. Nice work T&V, I have faith in German Engineering after VW let me down with my old Golf. T&V Kurbis are the real deal.

These Bluetooth speakers are no joke. They are excellent for the price. I bought them for my wife and we tested them out on Christmas. Connecting to the via Bluetooth is no problem weather it's your phone or computer. The sound amazing. I set them up as computer speakers for my wife in her room. The sound coming out of them was just amazing. I'm going to buy another set soon for my office. I highly recommend them. If you want a simple way to enjoy music at an affordable price these will make you very happy. Weather your listening to NIN or folk music, the sound quality is impressive..

Good sound and a decent price, but the product arrived damaged in a flimsy box with no material to transport it securely. I suppose that's better for the environment, but I certainly didn't expect the wood to be chipped and dented upon arrival. I'm not sure I'd buy another from this brand, at least not a more expensive set, given the shipping condition. Also, you can only pair one bluetooth at a time, so you must disconnect one bluetooth and before connecting another device. Still, better than having to buy a separate receiver. The speaker wire it comes with should be double the length, for the price, and seems stingy. But you can go buy better wire for cheap and set it to your preferred length anyway.
