I ordered this hoping for a natural alternative to replace a pharmaceutical brand to help lower blood sugar. I will say I have not recorded the lowering of blood sugar.
I did want to mention potential side effects I think you could possibly eliminate if you are mindful of what you are taking it with.
I noticed when I took this product with any of my other supplements such as nutrafol or cortisol calm, I felt very tipsy a feeling of being high and drunk, very out of it. When I took it with just food, I did not have that feeling.
The one thing I am trying to pinpoint is some inflammation I think it may be causing in my intestines that is causing back pain.
I did a test and stopped taking and after 4 days pain was gone. I started again two days ago and now it’s back. Very disappointed my body does not like it. I do think it’s worth a try for a natural alternative. I did not write this to discouraging others from buying, but to be mindful of how and when you take it. I do feel it’s a great alternative and worth trying.

This is my third day of taking the supplement! And I will have to say it does curb my appetite massively. I’m not sure yet how weight loss will work or if it will be sustainable but I figure it’s worth a shot.

So I have been taking one pill in the morning - but I’m going to try what others have suggested and make sure I have a hearty meal in me before taking it because oh my it makes me incredibly nauseated. I have worried about throwing up - but thankfully haven’t yet. The nausea subsided after awhile but it is very bad about 30 minutes after taking the pill and then lasts for about 2hrs.

Hoping eating beforehand will reduce this feeling!

Taking 2 pills. Causes extreme nausea, diarrhea and misery. I have tried twice to take 2 pills. My body cannot handle it. I have NO side effects when taking 1 a day. Been loosing about 1-2 pounds a week. And lost 6 pounds this month. If you are looking for larger weight loss, I’d recommend a different approach. But I love the appetite craving help and I feel more full when I eat. Would definitely recommend but only 1 pill a day!

I read many reviews and researched this product before I purchased and started taking it. For a new comer; and through my experience, I highly recommend that when you start, do not take more than one pill a day and take it with a meal on a full stomach. Something heavier than a salad. I tried moving to two and it made me very nauseous but when I went back down to taking one at a time (at the right time), I had no more issues. If you are taking this in hopes that it works like a weight loss supplement, it is not a magic pill. You still have to be mindful of what you eat. I'm very pleased with it and will continue to take it for the health benefits it provides.

I purchased for my husband and I since we are now 50 and suddenly having trouble losing weight and have put on 10 lbs. a piece. His dad has diabetes, so I thought this might help with prevention as well. I also was impressed of all the health benefits associated with Berberine.

We are now a week and a half in of taking one pill a day. I decided we should start with one and then work up to two a day because of side effects reported by some.

So far we have stayed about the same with weight. We are incorporating a low glycemic diet for the most part of healthy low carb foods or high quality carbs when consumed, smaller portions and chicken and fish for most meals along with lots of veggies and a little fresh fruit. I am perimenopausal and hubby is overweight and needs to lose about 20 lbs. I need to lose about 10 lbs. I will report back in a month and give an update.

So far, I am sleeping way more solid at night. I go to bed at 9:00pm on work nights and wake up at 5:00am feeling rested. I was previously waking up 2-4 times a night from 2am - 5am. This is a great side effect for me. I believe my husband is sleeping better too since I used to wake up when he did and I am not any longer. He is always fast asleep when I wake up at 5.

Neither of us are having digestive side effects on one dose of 500mg per day. We are upping to twice a day tomorrow. I also read to take Berberine 30 minutes before a meal. We were taking with a meal. I know that fat soluble and water soluble is super important to absorption of vitamins. So I am going to adjust and take the Berberine with my first water soluble vitamins when I wake, then have my fat soluble vitamins with the raw ex virgin coconut oil (fat) a half hour later. I will also wait one hour before I have coffee since I read that caffeine definitely inhibits vitamin absorption. For second dose, I'll take the Berberine with one glass water one half hour before dinner. These vitamins are pricey so you want to get the most out of them and take them properly. I am guessing this is why they do not have ultimate results for some people. Another important method is to try everything at least 3 - 6 months to give your body time to react. I did this with hair vitamins and it took 6 months before I saw results. Now a year in I have a head of hair again. Don't give up right away!!

Another good benefit is I have more energy and less cravings during the day. I have cut out snacking between meals since I don't feel hungry until mealtime. Hubby is having more trouble with snacking at night, but he eats less during the day. We are working on it LOL. To help our metabolisms we are taking a 30 minute brisk walk after we get home from work and eat dinner. We also do 25-50 squats twice a day. I have high hopes that after we increase the dose to 2 tablets we will see weight loss results.

I ordered 2 bottles per month subscription which is not cheap. I am reviewing since I appreciate to know if the vitamins I buy are high quality and actually work for people.

I will check back in around August with an update unless results happen sooner. If I find our weight loss goals stagnant, I'm going to add some weight training three times a week. Best of luck to everyone, thanks for the reviews and be well and happy.

I was skeptical to purchase this although the reviews were great since I feel like I’ve tried it all over the past 10 years with little to no success. I was prescribed Wegovy for insulin resistance but due to insurance issues, was unable to obtain Wegovy at a reasonable monthly price. I’ve battled insulin resistance issues my entire adult life and the most common side effect that isn’t talked about much or commonly known, that I’ve encountered, is irregular bowel movements (not to be TMI but I would be lucky to have a movement 1x/week). Since starting this, I have been having daily movements. In addition, my appetite is compressed so much that I am having to force myself to eat to avoid lacking nutrients or going into starvation mode, which would result in additional unintentional weight gain. I did have very mild nauseousness the first 2 days but it was so mild I debated if I should include in my review. It’s only been a week and I have yet to weigh in but overall, I am impressed thus far.
