Tried this for the first one, like it, flavor good, mixes well and a big fan of Thorne products for quality. Only downside, no scoop was in the container, which meant you had to work out how many teaspoons to use and then heaped of not….also, price point on the product a bit high, it goes quickly so Ned to Re order every 10 days or so and at $40 makes it expensive.

Initially when I read the reviews I had my doubts about it because of the taste. Let me tell you, the taste is just fine. I have not problems with that. It is like taking the vitamin c you put in water. In the beginning I felt it was too sweet for my taste buds ( I don't consume sugar or sugary drinks). But then my husband laughs of me because he is like you enjoy drinking it because you sip it out very slowly. I don't even realized when I drink it.

You need to know that everyone taste buds are different...so everything depends the Rx pills you take in a day, the food you eat, ect...all that changes your biochemistry, as a result, some people don't have a good experience...key is to drink it with a full glass of ice water!!

Causes bloat and extreme stevia flavour

Taking this for workout recovery and protein synthesis. Causes mild bloat but pretty substantial gas. The flavour is heavy on the stevia. I feel it could be cut by 50% and be completely fine. The berry flavour itself is fine. Can’t say I’ve noticed a difference in muscle development after 3 weeks use, but might be too early. Really wish there was an unflavoured version. Will try alternative BCAA pill based after this to see if it digests better. Also very expensive for amino acids. If you’re prone to bloat from gluten, starch, red meat, dairy etc, be ready for some bloat, gas and a little diarrhea.

Thorne Research has a good reputation for producing high-quality supplements. While the ingredients in Amino Complex - lemon flavored met my criteria for a powdered, complete amino acid profile (all 9 essential amino acids included in appropriate amounts) supplement, the taste is absolutely horrendous!

Given that branched chain amino acid supplements I've tried from other brands have been palatable, I was surprised by how terrible this complete amino acid supplement tasted.

There have been times that I've put "mind over matter", at least temporarily, to stomach a product that isnt pleasant tasting for its health-promoting properties; however, this won't be one of them. (I was planning to take this during the course of an elimination and gut healing diet to ensure my protein synthesis didn't suffer as a result of the dietary restrictions, but this supplement tastes too awful to endure even temporarily.)

Since this product isn't eligible for return (Amazon policy on non-returnable products), it will be going in the garbage.
