there plastic so buy 2 and tape the sencond on on the compressor so when the plastic see through oil glass breaks from the vibration you can quickly screw the spare one on and continue using the compressor. I also highly recommend to carry around a quart of 0w30 nondetergent compressor oil so when the plastic oil sight glass breaks you can quickly peace your compressor back toghter and resume work.
