Format: MP3 Music
The Dirty Bourbon River Show has put out 8 records in 4 years. They tour relentlessly, playing nearly every single night when they are out on the road. I've seen them 10x now and every show was full on. They hail from New Orleans and pack their tour van with that brass band tradition as they head out on a strange journey that detours through the Roma kingdom of Old Europe, stops in Harlem at midnight to pick up some swing and funk and rolls on through Memphis for a side of greasy R&B--sideswiping Tom Waits' mailbox somewhere along the way--as they careen across the country delivering some of the most original brass band music you've ever heard.
Still not sold? Start with the "Dirty Bourbon 2nd Line" or "The Wolfman" and you'll see what I'm talking about. Buy the music and then go see the band.
