I recommend waiting for the price to come down a bit... as it will; import prices are always a bit inflated. However, I truly have no regrets - I absolutely adore this album. I'm waiting for the symphonic arrangement of Brain Salad Surgery - rock on Emo!
These new versions of classic pieces have been brought to justice by only the one who created them to begin with. The addition of Marc Bonilla's incredible skills on guitar along with the superb collaboration of the orchestra bring a rich full sound and power that I have not experienced before. The arrangements, especially the Endless Enigma, are so beautiful I had to bring out a box of tissues. Bravo! Turn it up and feel what real music is all about!
It is amazing how well the album holds together, in spite of, or perhaps because of, its varied musical styles. It has moments of very high energy and complexity, yet retains a burnished, bittersweet ambiance that has touched me very deeply. In the many years since ELP faded away, I supplemented my album collection with Mahler's symphonies. They are now re-shelved. This album gives me everything I need, and yields fresh and compelling discoveries with each listen. Maestro Emerson has sent us one incredible holiday gift, and I am deeply thankful!

The really good cut on this is Tarkus, it works very well symphonically and die hard fans will want this.. Surprisingly Endless Enigma does not deliver as well as the original. Read morePublished 3 months ago by John C.

EL&P's always had a somewhat "symphonic" sound therefore it's no surprise this is such a great album!Published 5 months ago by chris
Definitely different arrangements than you are used to hearing.....some I like better than original versions. A beautiful recording to listen to the subtle nuances of the masters.Published 8 months ago by Michael J. Schnepf
Still in the vein of other classical/prog combinations, but Keith's just a better writer/composer than most. You don't miss when the drums and keyboard aren't playing. Read morePublished 14 months ago by Brian Kehew
