Amy Sever's new book is divided into three sections. Each part could easily have been a separate book, but as I read, I realized how important each section is as it applies to the whole. I have had access to much of the information Amy covers in her book, but I was impressed with her ability to so clearly express spiritual concepts and build a foundation for each section.
As I read, I was pleased that she used scripture to back up each relevant point she was making. Amy has shared crucial concepts regarding our ability to live an abundant life. The way in which we renew our Spirit effects our ability to manage our soul, and in turn, both of these aspects equip us to have the mindset needed to approach restructuring our body in a consistent and diligent manner. This book encourages us to actively manage each aspect of our being. She makes the point that we are spiritual beings that live in a physical world.
The 3 R's is for courageous people who desire to live radically abundant lives. I say courageous, because we must be prayerfully reflective and allow The Lord to use the message to show us where we are in relationship to each aspect addressed.
As I read the first section I felt as though the truths written, backed by scripture were strengthening my spirit. This is not a quick read, or should it be read once and put down. I plan on keeping this book close at hand because of the wealth of scriptures and concepts shared.
Amy has an amazing ability to write in an honest, forthright, compelling manner that makes sense. Her personal stories brought tears to my eyes. She understood. She was bravely sharing what I needed to hear. She was painfully transparent about what had gone on in her life. It gave me hope to keep turning the pages. I wasn't alone in my experience. We all are broken people in need of the Savior. As she told her story, I remembered painful issues in my own life. The Holy Spirit began to gently reveal to me areas of my soul that still needed healing.
One of the most important aspects of the second section of this book was Amy's chapter on forgiveness. Deliverance ministry is not a new concept for me. I have experienced personal deliverance on more than one occasion. Understanding the importance of forgiveness I have tried to forgive all those who might have wronged me, but in reading this chapter I realized in some cases, I needed to forgive on a deeper level. I found myself, with the Holy Spirit's help, taking a personal inventory. As Amy described, I had sometimes forgiven in my head, but not always in my heart. As I read her description of what she had experienced I realized that true freedom would not come until I released all the repressed anger that I didn't realize I was still carrying.
I truly believe that as we make a commitment to renew our spirit, as shared in this book, and courageously look at any soul issues that might be hindering our ability to live the joy-filled, peaceful life God intends, we will be strengthened and encouraged to address the restructuring of our bodies.
Whether the information in this book is all new to you, or is a confirmation of what you already know, I believe that this book is written for such a time as this. The Lord is preparing His people to live lives of freedom, and in so doing, we are equipped to spread His love to a hurting world. It is truly a time to Arise and Shine and this book gives us the means to be able to be all God desires. I am looking forward to greater freedom as I choose to follow the lessons shared in Amy's book.
I highly recommend this book. It is a compelling read. It captured my heart, and I pray it will be a blessing to all who read. Thank you Amy, for your courage and transparency. I believe your compassionate heart and willingness to bravely tell the truth will help many.
