We stumbled upon Three Sheets (no pun intended!) a couple years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed Zane Lamprey and crew ever since. We always look forward to watching! Educational and funny. He makes you want to be there with him. Good behind the scenes extras in this set. An added bonus is the care they take to show the various countries they visit and the respect Zane shows to the people...in whatever state they are in!

This series is great!
I have seen every episode on MOJO, recorded them all and am STILL buying this DVD for the bonus features.

...For a newer DVD than #1, with MORE features than season #1 AND cost 5 bucks less?? what are you waiting for get this series!!.. if only for the Germany October fest and New Years NYC pub Crawl!

This TV show/DVD is a two in one deal: You get informed in the history of drinking customs in the particular area of the world he is in and the hilarity that comes along with drinking how the locals drink wherever he happens to be. I love this show and can't stop watching it, once I start!

We bought this for a christmas gift and even though its 5 years later, i'm writing a review, to say that my friend still loves throwing in season 2 and trying to participate along with Zane on his wild and crazy drinking sessions. However please don't "jim the cop", or you could have a long night.

This clip is a wild ride! I am (almost) a certified sake specialist (I will be when I pass my test in August 2013). I have lived and worked in Japan (トヨタ自動車 1987-89). I watched this video with my brother and his son who said, "I bet Japanese people think this guy is crazy."
Yes, I agree. It may be a bit offensive, but the Japanese have their fair share of "crazy" TV shows. And the show really is entertaining -quite funny. Everyone enjoys it when cultures clash (in good fun) and the (happy) sparks fly.
The host and his crew explore Junmai Daiginjo, which is premium sake made from sakamai (sake rice) polished to at least 50%, sometimes to as much as only 23% remaining. The viewer is introduced to nama sake (raw/unpasturized) and nigori (cloudy) sake. All of which should be stored in the refrigerator away from light and consumed while they are still young. Koshu 古酒 is explored. This sake, on the other hand, has been aged. Daruma Masamune, for example, is delicious but costs $170 per 720ml bottle. The crew visits a sake brewery and does a good job explaining the basics of making sake. The viewer learns about rice, koji, yeast, and the importance good quality water. The program is very good for two reasons: 1) The material is factual and accurate. 2) The presentation is good entertainment.

Love Three Sheets. Best drinking show there is, just wish it was still going. Bit more than just a guy getting drunk it has some good informative bits on culture and history behind domestic drinks in the places he visits.

Whether you're interested in exploring other cultures throughout the world or appreciate finding out what everyone else is drinking (or BOTH), this is the show for you. Zane is a great host, both funny and smart. They do a great job digging up the right people in each country to explain their drinking scene. But the show also incorporates some neat tidbits about the country's culture itself, usually by tying in the social drinking aspect. Great show. You could probably start with any season as it's city by city. But I'd recommend season 1. In my opinion, it's the best collection of cities and has more of the best episodes within it. Cheers!

I can't remember how I stumbled upon MojoHD's website, but I'm happy I did and even happier that I took the time to view the Croatia episode of Three Sheets. I was instantly hooked. I love learning about other cultures. And, I love drinking too. I bought the DVDs of Seasons 1 and 2 and totally enjoyed them both! Although, there are a few rough edges in Season 1 (as expected for any new series), Season 2 ironed these out and perfected the whole concept of the show. Very funny yet educational. Get to learn the local customs and how to say "cheers" in different languages. Perfect if you love to travel. I shared them with a friend, and she loved the shows too. I can't wait to get my hands on Season 3.
