Spell-binding. How can you lose when you combine Mardi Gras with Voodoo? Full of intrigue and surprising twists, this is a tough book to lay down; it's got all the ingredients necessary to cook up a heck of a story, with characters both heroic and chilling. Thoroughly enjoyable, and highly recommended. (Cindy Fairweather NetGalley)
Although this is the second book in the series, it holds up well as a ‘standalone’, and the personalities, plot and pace are all admirable. The descriptions of New Orleans at Mardi Gras time were such that the reader feels as though he is in the middle of all that madness and mayhem. This book was a pleasure to read and I highly recommend it. (Breakaway Reviewers)
Beneath the carefree atmosphere of Mardi Gras, something very sinister is going on in the intriguing new Quentin Archer mystery.

Thrill Kill is well-written and well-researched. I felt like I was in the streets of the Big Easy when reading.
Author of: SEAsoned: A Chef's Journey with Her Captain
With the help of the enigmatic voodoo practitioner, Solange Cordray, Archer finds that the seamy underbelly of New Orleans may be more corrupt than even he dreamed.
Bruns again has captured the spirit, the color, and the violent behavior of the Crescent City and shows us that America's adult entertainment capital can be a very corrupt town.
Prepare for a long night because Thrill Kill is impossible to put down!
