The King Shines Again!
40 years after the original's release and 14 years beyond the afterlife, Michael Jackson makes 10 awesome new songs. Despite most of them being demos, they sound like completed tracks. My particular fav is "She's Trouble", got a rollerskate feel to it. I wish the CD included "For All Time", but you can find it online.Very satisfied. Also, I have a strict No Glitter rule, but this glitter somehow doesn't come off. I don't get it, but will applaud it as well.

    Of course, this is the like 3rd or 4th full Thriller Album that I own, but I couldn't pass up the 40th Anniversary Edition because I thought I'd get something extra. Yea, there are extra songs that were unreleased for purchase before, but I have heard the majority of the extra songs on other purchases of "Michael's" CDs containing unreleased songs.

    One of the things I had a problem with was: "Getting the CDs out of the Case"; they are stuck in there so tightly that I was afraid I would crack or break the CD, but I took my time and figured out that I had to use the tip of my fingers to wiggle around the area at the same time slowly trying to lift it out. I had success, but I won't take them out again, the CDs will be put aside with the rest of my other "MJ Collection."

    Secondly, I thought they might have included some videos of "Michael" in the studio while the recording sessions were happening or something specific like that, but the booklet had some photos (all of them I've seen before) and provided the viewer/listener with the "words" to ALL of the songs from both CDs included (which usually is the norm). There have been thicker booklets in previous releases of "Michael's" Albums/CDs, so I guess they were trying to keep it to the basics. But they forgot something "M-A-J-O-R"; *Michael Jackson* was "Never Basic" by any means and he still isn't Basic in 2022. Dee Jazz

    I already own Thriller, but of course, who doesn't? The album is the all-time best selling in the world for a reason. The result of hard work, talent and 20 years of prior experience in the industry, what a 25 year old Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones were able to accomplish with original 9 tracks is nothing short of tight, slick, funky post-disco perfection.
    But the original album went through dozens of tracks that didn't make the cut, and went through a rigorous editing process, cutting the fat and leaving only the best. And even THEN at the 11th hour, they scrapped the album and rerecorded it from scratch!
    This is the story fans have been told for decades, and whilst it's always fun to imagine what might have been left on the cutting room floor and swept into the vault, we've been given enough peaks into the behind the scenes at this point.
    Thriller 40 gives us just enough of the cuts from the original to really appreciate the final product. Yes, some of the songs, like Sunset Driver and Who Do You Know are fun and lovely tracks. But what struck me was how the original 9 songs (minus The Girl Is Mine but I'm willing to look past that track) are really the best of the best.
    ...But come on now Estate, Can't Get Outta The Rain has no business being on this. C'mon now. Shamone now, if you will.

    The first disc is pretty good, from the thriller album, the hits on this album, which was 0n history album, were: wanna be startin something, the girl is mine, thriller, beat it, and bille Jean, and then t later on human nature, and pretty young thing was released, the second album, which starlight is good, I think it reminds a person who have a nine to five job, then got the hots is pretty good, who do you know is not bad, slow song, carousel is good, it was on YouTube, behind the music which was released on the Michael album, which is the 1980s version, can't get out of the rain is really good, I like it, the toy, is good, I like sunset driver, it was on the the ultimate Michael Jackson album, is a song bbn I really like as well, what a lovely way, and she's trouble is pretty good, the album gets 5 starts because it has the first album, plus some pretty good music.
