With the backdrop of legend and medieval lore you have a great adventurous heart pounding story with great depth of characters, detail, and fight our flight storyline to give any reader or movie goer a way to visualize the story unfolding.
You will enjoy this story to me and again.
I could go on and on, but since I'm in danger of being accused of hyperbole, I'll stop now and simply say; read the books. They're magical and entertaining and will remind you why you read romances.
The author sticks to the time period perfectly. I'll admit I had to stop reading to find out what in the world some things were or what a phrase might have meant then. But I didn't mind. Everything was so BEAUTIFULLY and PERFECTLY described that I had no problems picturing every little thing in my mind. On the down side...FOR ME...there was too much description of things at times. I found that I was able to skip paragraphs at a time of description and it took nothing away from the story for me. Then again, I have a VERY vivid imagination and it doesn't take a whole lot of description for me to be able to form an image. But that's not saying anything bad about the writing, that was just one of my own personal quirks.
There was really never a dull moment. There was adventure and romance around every twist and turn and I was always intrigued. I highly recommend this book especially to those that love a good time period piece full of love, revenge, hate, tears and a great turn at 2nd chances.
