My OBD2 port is in a spot where it is obvious to spot and to kick/break off in the event if the vehicle is stolen.
so I bought this.
its a lot less inconspicuous you can notice something is connected to it. But what auto thief is gonna take that extra time to look at where it leads to do something about it if the cars owner is already behind them. 😜🤣
The Quality of this is solid.
bought it way back in NOV. not one ounce of trouble his wire has given me.
its been through a tough Chicago winter. So its willing to thrown down.
The product itself feels solid and well constructed.
My Jaguar is very voltage sensitive and when I added this extender in between my module and the OBDII port my dashboard went crazy, lighting up and throwing warning lights everywhere. It killed my power steering, which is electric, and disabled my automatic shifting.
At any rate, the cable must act as a short somehow and had to be removed in order to restore my system functionality and clear all of the codes that were set.
My advice is to use this cable with caution. I don't think that the cable is defective, but it may make certain vehicles act funny. Just be aware of this.
Hope my review helps someone out there.
