About the Author
Jennifer Archer moved twenty-three times before her eleventh birthday—and once more at the age of sixteen. She has lived in Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas, Arizona, California, and Oklahoma. An avid reader no matter where she was, Jennifer has always felt at home in the pages of a good book. Today, Jennifer spends as much time writing books as she does reading them. She is also the author of through her eyes, as well as several novels for adults. The mother of two grown sons, Jennifer lives in Amarillo, Texas, with her husband and two dogs.

Archer builds very quickly a suspenseful atmosphere that keeps the reader on the edge of his/her seat and wanting to keep reading to find out what happens. This dwindles a bit around the middle of the book, but mainly because the reader doesn't find out any more significant information about Henry until the very end.
The characters are also well developed and written in such a way that Tansy isn't sure who she can trust and who is going to be cruel to her. At first, Allison, Shanna, Tate, and Bethyl Ann seem very stereotypical. But Archer quickly blows those misconceptions out of the reader's mind.
And Papa Dan (for me at least) is very real. Archer includes some old sayings for Papa Dan that I hadn't heard from anyone other than my grandfather as well. While Archer does a very good job of covering up the mystery surrounding Henry, the reader has a very strong inclination on what will happen to Papa Dan. Even still, Archer creates an emotional bond between the reader and Papa Dan that had me crying at the end.
Overall, Through Her Eyes is an exciting read and definitely recommended to all, but expect a murder mystery instead of a romance!
Overall, I did really enjoy the book. While I did figure the twists out I won't fault the book because it was done nicely. A wonderful coming of age story woven into a ghost story. A great read for any young reader :)
Hope everyone gives this book a chance I'm so glad I did!!
