The Thule TCSP-313 sling pack is a well made day pack for everyday urban carry. It is small and fairly light in spite of some of its surprisingly robust features. The provisions for a laptop and tablet work well with a Lenovo Thinkpad X series 12" notebook and a full-sized iPad. The organizer section has pockets for 2 pens and 2 medium sized pockets that accommodate a small Moleskine reporter notepad and a 4.6" screen smart phone easily.

In addition there are three zippered internal flat pockets. The zippered pockets are flat, so more than a wallet, billfold, small device cables and the like would make this very svelt setup unruly. There is one vertical external zippered pocket that is also very flat and fairly small. This maybe intended to hold no more than an airline boarding pass. I attempted to jam a full-sized #10 business envelope in this external pocket and while the envelope kind of fit I mangled all 4 corners. This bag is terrific in its use of space and the generous amount of pockets. However, when I tried to stuff a number of small gadgets, chargers, extra cables, digital camera, extra clothes... It just didn't work. This bag has a place for everything... but more stuff than it provides space for gets unmanageable. All the small stuff sinks to the bottom and this design does not lend itself to being overloaded.

The external water bottle pocket is well elasticized and is the first bag or pack that can comfortably handle my stainless steel 1.2 liter bottle. Finally, the zippered phone pocket integrated into the strap is narrow and flat. Its probably designed for iPhone 4 to 5S. Sorry there's no way a Galaxy Note 3 is going to work.

Bottom line: In spite of the compactness of this bag, I would recommend this sling pack. It's well made, the shoulder strap is wide and comfortable. There are lots of pockets for small items and the tablet pocket a great addition. I don't know why more bag manufacturers don't design this into their products.

I am pretty picky about the bags I carry.
I love this bag because it makes me carry what I need not just anything I can.
I travel and I make a living in the tech sector. Tech jobs and hoarding seem to go hand in hand. This puts a stop to it.
I also love it because I can use a small carryon backpack on my back for the clothes and sling this on bag on my front and not feel over loaded or swamped.
I carry a 13" MBP, iPad 4th gen, Morpheus power brick, assortment of adapter/pig tails and power adapters, a couple patch cords, 5x8 Moleskin notebook, a screwdriver, a pair of Solo Beats and it all fits without any stuffing or cramming.

In 9 months of use its done very well and looks almost brand-new.

I am considering just buying another one to put back when this does eventually wear out so I have a replacement I like.

This is simply an amazing bag. I've been using it for more than 2 months now - I carry my 13" Retina MacbookPro, power supply, a bevy of assorted cables, a moleskin notebook, some energy bars and an ipad mini. The bag fits all of these comfortably and the pouch on the side is perfectly sized for a small water bottle. I've carried it while riding my bike to work; and also through airports. It is most comfortable to wear and stands up to daily use very well. I think the laptop area of the bag can hold a slightly larger laptop as well (the Lenovo Yoga Pro 13" also fits very well). The laptop protection is good but not great. I place my bag gingerly on the ground. It could use a bit more cushioning on the bottom and sides. That's the only reason for not giving it 5 stars. In any case, I recommend this bag very highly to anyone looking for a cross-body sling bag that can hold a 13' laptop.

I've had this for a bit over a month now and I very much like it. I've had a number of different backpacks and slings, and lately I've been using more messenger style bags. I was looking for something that could be rather minimalistic for the daily commute, but still minimalistic for longer trips.

I've brought this on one trip to Europe and it was fantastic, just the right amount of pockets for laptop, ipad, power adapters, video adapters and misc phone charges. I was also able to fit a sweatshirt, gopro, some snacks, keys, wallet, passport, and a few other items. Even with all that in there it still had a rather small form factor.

For the daily commute I can pare down the accessories and devices and have a very light, streamlined sling that I often wear as a one-sided backpack without it slipping down my arm, it's just really well balanced.

Cons: the logo on the front has started to wear a little, I'm not sure why, but it's not a big deal. Also, I added a velcro strap to keep the excess strap from flopping all over after I tightened it down.

I purchased this sling pack to transport my Yoga 2 Pro (13.3"), peripherals, work documents, usb drives and other items to work. I needed something slim that was light weight, portable and secure enough to throw over the shoulder when riding my motorcycle. It does the trick. The neck strap is somewhat large where your shoulder is causing it to rub the neck a little. It's not so much of an annoyance after a while, especially if you adjust it well. For smaller people I could see where it would be bothersome (I'm average height/weight). The mobile device pocket would not allow space for my Galaxy S4 with Otterbox Defender case on or off. I can fit my Galaxy S6 with Spigen SlimArmor Case in there snugly with no room to spare. Nice and tight! I've received at least a half dozen comments on the pack. I would buy again if I needed to but I believe this one will last a very long time.
