Sable has done it again. This is the story of Kyle "Thunderbird" Chancellor and Hannah "Ana" Montenegro. He was born from a wealthy Texas family, she was born from a poor family from Mexico. Many of you remember Kyle from the rescue mission of Aron McCoy. Well now we get his story. When he was little is Mother told him about his "twin soul" and one day while grieving the loss of a dear friend, he finds her. Their story take you on an emotional roller coaster. The struggles they endure to come together is a story that will stay with you long after you finished the story. Run and get your copy today!

The story of Kyle and Hannah (Anna) is a beautiful love story interwoven with very timely references to the current problems with the immigration system. This book is a beautiful story of love and how love overcomes adversity. At the same time, this book sheds light on the plight of those that come to America because they feel that they have to not just because they want to. I particularly like that it explains differing opinions and seems to show respect for both sides. It also touches on the plight of so many that are effected by serious illnesses that could possibly be helped by stem cell research. Sable and Ryan not only entertain, they educate and illuminate at the same time. Kyle and Hannah find each other and lose each other several times before finding their "happily ever after". I don't feel that it is a spoiler to say that they find their HEA because, after all, it is a Sable Hunter book and who does a better HEA than Sable (oops sorry, and Ryan). If you haven't read any of this series then do yourself a favor and start with the first one and work forward. This book can absolutely be read as a stand alone book, but it just adds so much more depth when you know all of the peripheral characters history. Sable has a way of writing that makes you feel the characters and fall in love right along with them. When they hurt, I hurt, when they are happy it makes me happy. She and Ryan have accomplished that yet again with this most recent book. I hope that they don't run out of story lines for a long long time!

Sable Hunter 's 13th installment in the Hell Yhea! series will not let you down. Some series have redundant story lines with predictable outcomes. In Thunderbird, as with all of the Hell Yhea! books, you will not find any of the "same 'ole same 'ole" here.

Kyle is a Heisman Trophy winning football player who has a lot going for him - a long term girlfriend, supportive loving family and great friends. But when girlfriend turns him away, harboring a secret meant to protect him, he joins the US Marine Corps to create a new path. Ana is a poor girl from Mexico who has a lot on her plate. After tragically losing her mother to ALS, and then having to care for her younger brother who suffers from the same illness, she is treated badly by her father who blames her for the loss of his wife, and now the illness of his beloved son. To find better treatment for his son, Ana's father illegally enters the small family into Texas. Ana finds herself having to give up her past, including changing her name to Hannah, in a foreign land and feeling very much alone. Her days are spent as a cleaner and her nights she is the caregiver to her very ill brother. Her future looks bleak and empty.

In a step of destiny, Hannah is convinced to go out with a friend for some fun. Kyle returns from his final tour in the Marine Corps to find out what he thought was fact was a tragic loss. He goes out with his friend to find a distraction for his sorrow. In a fairy tale destined meeting, Kyle and Hannah are brought together. Their hearts immediately know the truth, their bodies immediately feel the attraction. However, fate interrupts and they are separated after a few hours of dancing and kisses.

Sigh. :-( This book bummed me out for many reasons and I wish I hadn't paid for it. It seems that 2/3 of Sable Hunter's books I absolutely love, and then that remaining 1/3 are just really bad for me.

this one failed on lots of levels for me, including (SPOILERS ahead):

1. This was the worse for me: Kyle was an unforgivable a**h*** at one point in the book. I simply don't like to read about these types of men. Men who will so easily believe the worse about the woman they supposedly love. Men who will do hurtful things. Men who put others before their woman. Men who willingly allow another woman to rub all over them, RIGHT IN FRONT of the heroine. Argh. To be fair, he wasn't anywhere near as bad as Joseph McCoy. That man takes the award for worst "hero" of the year

2. there is only one brief scene between the couple in the first 30% of the book. Then another big separation later on in the book.

3. Hannah/Ana doesn't come clean about her immigration status until literally the last second. At this point, I simply couldn't believe it. It made no sense that she would continue to withhold something that had not a prayer of continuing to be a secret. Though......considering what a** Kyle had been in the past, hmmmm....maybe she had the right idea? lol

Anyway, I am bummed. I am not sure I should risk another Sable Hunter book. I don't want to read about men who cause such awful heartbreak to their women. Just leaves me feeling angry and unhappy.
