Lots of fun! This seems to be entirely CGI, but the animators made the decision to make characters and action appear as close as possible to the 1960s marionettes (puppet characters) original. Great music, great kids show--even if you're a 60-year-old kid like me!

I enjoyed the episode! As someone who grew up watching the original show, I always marveled at how they where able to create as much "realism" with the puppetry back in the 60s. With this new version, the show's creators have managed to reproduce detailed graphics and a "believable" realism throughout the Thunderbird world.

Wow. Jaw-dropping visuals. I kept thinking, "how do they DO that? The CGI is amazing. The look and charm of the original show is splendidly preserved and honored. And the first episode was exciting and interesting.

As someone who didn't see the original until 1994 (wasn't born yet when the original came in the 60s), I have to admit I was skeptical at first. After watching Thunderbird 2's dramatic entrance in the first scene, I had nothing to worry about. It has some of the feel of the original without going to it too much. Ben and Nick Foster do a great job with the music, and David Graham is wonderful to hear voicing Parker again.

Some key things to watch for in this first set (without spoiling things too much):
1. No Jeff Tracy or Kyrano this time. Scott runs the show.
2. Grandma Tracy lives with her grandsons on Tracy Island, but she's a TERRIBLE cook.
3. Tin-Tin is now Tanusha "Kayo" Kyrano. Why? To prevent copyright issues with the Belgian hero Tintin. Also, Kayo isn't on the sidelines as head of International Rescue security. (Just warch her in the second part of "Ring of Fire" and "Fireflash.")
4. John Tracy, not liked by Gerry Anderson and practically stuck on Thunderbird 5 in the original, gets the ginger hair color and a lot more action. His two standout episodes in this set are "EOS" and "Skyhook" (not Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's famous basketball shot).
5. Matt Zimmerman, who voiced Alan Tracy in the original, makes a guest appearance as he voices the misguided Professor Harold in "Tunnels of Time."
6. Hiram "Brains" Hackenbacker has a distinct voice from India but stutters like the original.

There, some facts to be ready for Thunderbirds Are Go. Enjoy it!

It was great seeing episode one... and if the moron complaining that he had to pay for the rest of the episodes, would have just waited till 4/22 like it says... then the rest of the episodes would be available... but then again it is always easier to complain about something instead of just enjoying it for what it's worth.

As a huge fan of all the original gerry anderson shows I was really looking forward to this...especially when I heard that Peter Jackson's own Weta digital would be creating REAL miniature sets for the show. Wow...the show looks amazing, even down to the large stitching on the CG characters clothes to resemble the small outfits on the old puppets. The makers of this show obviously love the original and it shows. The stories are as fun as ever, the music is fantastic, and I never get tired of hearing the original Jeff Tracey countdown in the opening credits. Amazing visuals, fun stories....it's all I could ask for!!
