Product Description
Players of all ages can now venture across America by train in Alan R. Moon's ticket to ride: first journey. With a brand new map and simplified rules, first journey is the perfect way to introduce new players to the game of cross-country travel. Just like in ticket to ride, players collect train cards, claim routes, and try to connect cities coast-to-coast. In first journey, though, routes are shorter, train cards are drawn straight from the deck, and the game ends when one player completes six tickets, claiming the golden ticket as their prize. Climb aboard, travelers, your incredible first journey awaits!

- Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2025Style: First JourneyVerified PurchaseOur family really like this children’s version. It’s something both the adults and children under 8 can enjoy. Even though the kids might not be able to read the names of the cities, they can look at the pictures of the cities and know where their ticket takes them. This game is also quick to play, so that’s a plus.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2025Style: First JourneyVerified PurchaseTicket to Ride is a fantastic board game that strikes a perfect balance between strategy and accessibility. Players build train routes across a beautifully designed map, collecting colored cards to claim tracks and complete destination tickets. The rules are simple, making it ideal for newcomers and not only. While luck with card draws can influence outcomes, smart route management often prevails. It’s a must-have for family game nights or casual gatherings, offering replayability and fun for 2-5 players. Highly recommended!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2025Style: First JourneyVerified PurchaseThis was a great introduction into more 'adult' board games for my nephews who are in 2nd grade. Prior to this they were playing really simple games like "Hoot Owl Hoot!" and "Race to the Treasure!" or The first round we had to play open faced to kind of teach them the game, but after that, they took to it and loved it! Me and my wife actually love it too as a simple alternative to the regular TTR and TTR Legacy that we both love.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2025Great value for money. Age range 6 and older can play. Very colourful board and pieces. The board is smaller than the standard Ticket to Ride games. Directions are similar as you build routes along routes across the board. There is no points in scoring in this game. We played it twice before we completely understood all the playing directions we can teach it to others. We like you use routes going both directions and if you can't make a route you throw it out and draw another one. We aren't sure how successful it will be for four people to play and achieve the needed six routes to win. Will update after we game night. Overall it was a fun game and we look forward to sharing it with friends.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2025Style: First JourneyVerified PurchaseThis game has quickly become a family favorite up to four people can play at a time. They make multiple expansion sets for this game that can add to the fun and help make it feel new all over again

YoReviewed in Mexico on January 11, 20225.0 out of 5 stars El único pero es que no soporta 5 jugadore
