- Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2017This is an excellent book for self education on tics and tourettes. Many people don't understand this disorder. I have a child with tics and this book teaches ways to help reduce them. Loved it.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2006This book is good for general information. Give you all the topics about Tourette Syndrome. It's excellent for parents and professionals that are beginning reader about TS. Help you a lot to begin to understand all concerning with the Tourette Syndrome.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2016Item came as described. Would buy from this buyer again.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2006This is by far the most useful book I have read on Tourette Syndrome, as well as one of the best books I have read on special needs in general. "Tics and Tourette Syndrome" is short enough and concise enough that an overwhelmed parent can read it in one sitting. Do not be fooled by the book's length, however. Word for word, this book contains more useful information than any other book I have read; there is no filler, there are no anecdotes.
If you have time for only one book on Tourette's, this is the book. That is a very tired line, I know, but in this case it really is true. I have recommended this book to other parents of children with Tourette's as well as to friends and relatives, in an effort to dispel misconceptions about what Tourette's is and is not.

I have not yet read the book but, my wife has. She says it is really informative and easy to read and translate into layman terms. It sympathetically goes through symptoms and explains some reasons and causes for Tics and Tourettes. A really useful guide.

The book was recommended to me by the Peadiatric Consultant my son is seeing due to tics. It is a great book and I have told the school about the teacher chapter to help them learn more about this condition. This put my mind at rest as it proved it was not something which I had done as a parent to create these tics (most people think it is caused by anxiety but in fact it is a medical condition that can be made worse in anxious situations).
Great book will be recommending it to other parents!
sarahReviewed in the United Kingdom on November 27, 20224.0 out of 5 stars Interesting for those needing basic knowledge
I already knew a lot that is in the book as I have been google researching, but its useful for those that have little knowledge to gain a better understanding. Clearly laid out, easy reading,
