I bought these to keep handy in my purse and car for when we went out of state to elope! Little did i know i would need them to save my wedding day! On the 5 minute drive to our venue, i opened a teeny mini 7.5 oz diet pepsi...while fully dressed.. it exploded all over my white dress! I literally used 2 of these tide pens to get the dark soda spots off . when i say that 25% of the front of my dress had soda splatter on it im dead serious. In the 5 min drive i got 99% of the stains out (except for a spot underneath that wasnt visible). These tide pens saved my wedding day and photos!!

I bought this product incase I need to remove stains on my shirt. This product does not work. I tested it out with mustard and it does not remove mustard stains. In some cases it has made the stain worse on dark color clothes by making the stain bigger. I was hoping to get something that I could use to remove stains in a pinch but this product does not work at all.

Additionally very handy to have in a restaurant if you drop some food on you while eating, which I occasionally do. These just make the stain vanish with no one the wiser.

DON’T BUY IT, STICKS ACTUALLY STAINS CLOTHING!

What do you say about a stain remover that makes stains? That’s correct, I spilled some milk on a sweatshirt, washed it out with water, and to be sure, used a Tide Stain Stick. Did it work? Short answer is absolutely not! There were three large stains that would now not wash out! Thought it was a fluke until I got splashed with some orange juice. Again I attempted to wash it off with soap and water and then used the stain stick. Yup, you guessed it, two very large stains on a good shirt.

So what’s the next logical step anyone would do? Correct, I called Tide. They informed that this was not uncommon, that I should put the shirts in a bucket of hot water with Tide. After I soaked the shirts I was told to now wash the two shirts in a washer with Tide detergent.

Now maybe I’m crazy but if you know that you have a product that can stain clothes, why do you sell it? So now I have a sweatshirt and a good T-Shirt that are now ruined! What was the response from Tide? They stated “You should always try the stain stick on part of your garment to make sure the Tide stick wont damage the garment!”
What? Makes no sense to me.

I returned the three stain sticks and will get a refund but I now have two good shirts that I have to use as rags.
