We had to fill and tie about 500 water balloons for a school field day. Without this tool, it would have been very difficult, not to mention painful on the fingers. It takes a bit of practice to get the hang of it, but once you do, you can tie a balloon in 2-3 seconds.
Note that this tool doesn't work as well for air-filled balloons. Without the weight of the water, it is harder to use. And larger air balloons have ends that are too thick for the slot. But for water balloons - what it is designed for after all - it can't be beat! I won't tie water balloons without it.

Seriously some of the best $6* I have spent on summer stuff this year and a water balloon must have! As a mom of 5 kids and having an arthritis like autoimmune condition in my hands this is the only way to keep up. I didn't even realize it is in made in the USA with recycled materials when I ordered it but extra bonus!!!

I honestly didn't expect much other then dollar store junk. While it is plastic it's not like the stuff the cheap squirt guns use. It actually works easily, well and fast and I just used the diagrams on the back & it worked perfect the first time (the video is only the 2nd time). Even the 6yr old twin girls & almost 8yr old son could do it themselves unassisted on the 1st try after watching me make the video! No matter what the product there will be defective ones... it's worth trying a replacement if you get one that is broken. Also it fits on our hoses fine & is upside down directly on our spicket BUT it still works fine we just do the same thing but a tad differently... it still wraps around the tie rod & then instead of hooking the tie down we pull it up from underneath. I foresee one for our 2nd hose and water balloon wars this summer.

*I spent $6 on another listing direct from Amazon with free prime shipping and NOT an add-on

The balloons while a little flimsy, burst on contact. We use about 2 or 3 of these at once in our water balloon launcher. They don't hold very much water. When "Full", these balloons are just a littler smaller than a Tennis Ball. Excellent for little hands and water balloon launchers. If you need a balloon the size of a cantaloupe, these aren't what you're looking for.

The Knotter is great for little people and adults alike. Saves my fingers from being sore after tying 100 of them. Just drop the neck in, twist and pull through.

Sometimes the knotter rips the neck off and you're left drenched by the balloon. But that's half the fun!

A Kid's Review on April 17, 2011
this is amazing, kind of hard to figure out at first but once you get the hang of it, it's simple fun and fast, also the balloons that come with it are great 5" when most water balloons are 3" and they're long-necked overall great and worth the money but the color is not white it's like a really light blue I like it, most won't, but it's only the color, well worth the money, buy it now!

My fingers are no longer sore from tying balloons!!!
I saw this on Shark Tank and immediately checked amazon.
The price seemed a little steep, but then I checked local stores and either couldn't find it, or it cost more than amazon.
So I ordered it for my kids and for my nieces and nephew.
They LOVED IT!!!
We were able to fill up almost 300 water balloons in a very short period of time.
The kids had a blast and were actually able to help us fill them!
I would recommend to anyone that uses water balloons.

As you can imagine, the balloons are very cheap in quality. Except quite a few of them to break at the nozzle. The filler nozzle is cheap plastic as well.

These are great for kid's parties or stocking stuffers.

I was a professional clown when I was much younger and tying the balloon can eventually cause lots of pain. I wanted this size of a balloon to make nesting balls. That is where you soak twine or string in glue and haphazardly wrap it around the balloon, leaving 1 area large enough to stuff natural cotton balls, hair from your brush, very shredded natural material etc. You then wrap the balloon with this glue wet string in ways that can allow the birds to pull out what they want to add to their nest. I suggest you add something shiny like tinsel from Christmas that would have normally been tossed.

So, to sum it up. The balloons are great for the kids but you will get stuck doing the knot unless they are teens.

Comes with a filling nozzle and knotter. Popped a few when filling and about a dozen had holes. Other than that we couldn't fill them fast enough for the kids. Great product.

The knotter has a slight learning curve. I was able to knot them by hand faster that someone else using the tool till they got the hang of it and beat me in speed every time. Also less likely to pop it with the knotter.
