Henry thought about Sam every day for 5 long years and after a few years he had the added worry of thinking that Sam could have moved on and possibly remarried. Meanwhile Sam lived in denial of Henry's death for several months until he was forced to accept that Henry had died. His grief never went away, but he had to force himself to start living his life like he had once promised Henry he would do if anything happened to him.
I was glad that there was minimum time spent on Sam's eventual relationship with Nash and I thought Henry handled it as well as could be expected. I was really happy that Sam's love and support for Henry wasn't ever really in question and even though he did love Nash (poor Nash), Henry was Sam's true love.
Only one thing bugged me about being stranded on this tiny island. They started a fire each night to cook one meal, but it's really really hard to start a fire without matches or other similar source. It wasn't a big deal for me but every time there was a mention of a fire I wondered about it.
This is the crux of the question in this romance.
Addison Albright has written a compelling love story that I couldn't put down from the moment I downloaded the book at lunch until I finished close to midnight. The characters of Henry and Sam are extremely likable, and Buddy, a child thrust into Henry's life, is a beautiful soul.
Defiantly this is a five star story. Definitely highly recommend for reading.
