Yes, it got intense and I will forever be looking over my shoulder from now on but it wasn't too scary to read. It was suspenseful, not scary. I spent the majority of the book trying to figure out who the psycho was and I guessed wrong. I so did not see it being him, at all. Kudos to JLA for pulling one over on me.
Sasha and Cole were so beyond drool worthy that is was pathetic, not in a bad way. They were just so cute. I wanted to smack her when she was trying to push him away. Like, seriously girl don't you dare push that hot, delicious, FBI agent away. Sasha was a great character on her own, she was super strong after everything that she went through. I would not have gone back to that town after all of that, I'm a wuss. She was a fighter which made reading this book more fun. Miranda was another great character that brought fun to every scene she was in.
All in all, this was a great book. It had some suspenseful moments and also some loving ones. It was a good balance so that everyone would enjoy it. I highly recommend it but I might be biased because I love everything that Armentrout writes.
I can't believe I didn't read Till Death sooner. It's a second chance romance with huge dark twists in between. The perfect balance between a thrilling mystery and romance wrapped in a little bow. It's a gripping novel with a heartfelt love story.
Sasha decides to move back to her home town, after escaping a nightmare. She has survived the ordeal but want's to breathe again back to the place where it all started. So Sasha moves into her families Inn, that she has dreamed of owning. She starts to pick up her life again, but it all comes crashing to a halt when Cole comes walking back into her life.
The man she dated before the nightmare began.
The man she left behind after she was rescued.
The man who owned her very soul, and has not forgotten.
Even after all this time has passed they can't forget the pull towards one another. The fierce protectiveness Cole has over Sasha was heartwarming to see. Those fierce feelings have never gone away, and now there back at full force.
The last few chapters gave me goosebumps....
JLA blends romance, suspense, and jaw dropping twists like no other.
A dramatic read that will give you the chills!
I won’t say too much about the plot, but I will say that Jennifer L. Armentrout kept me guessing…boy, did she keep me guessing! When the “who” was revealed, the story still surprised me with twists. I liked that Sasha and Cole already had a background established together, and the romance was satisfying and sweet without being graphic.
If you like being on the edge with a standalone romantic suspense novel, Till Death is a great one to give a chance. The serial killer in this story is truly psychotic and disturbed. *I purchased this book, and this is my honest review.
"There were two types of death. Actual death, like the kind this poor woman had suffered, where the body and soul and everything was gone. Then there was the second kind of death- where the soul was stripped away, but the body continued on, going day to day, just existing in a shell of what once was."
Sasha Keeton is comming back to her small town home, it's been ten years since she was kidnapped by the Groom and she's yet to return home since. Till now. It's been a long journey for her, overcoming what she experienced wasn't easy and it still isn't. She learns to battle through her past in order to live her future but what if her past comes back to haunt her? Luckily for Sasha the oh-so-attractive Cole still has his eyes set on her. With the help of her mom, best friend, and Cole, Sasha works to fight off her inner demons.
