From the Author
Each book has been given a thorough once over in preparation for this Boxset, and after hours of editing (again!) I can honestly say they are the tightest they've ever been. I'm sure far from perfect (what book is?) but vastly improved from their original versions whenever they first appeared over the last six years.
At over 1100 pages, and four different storylines, you have plenty to enjoy, worlds to lose yourself in, and characters to love!

I will tell you, if you have not already surmised it for yourself, I am a supporter of Tim Heath and feel privileged to be an advanced review reader of his books. I want to make it clear, upfront, that this review comes from me without coercion or any type of agreement to trade a review for a free copy of his books. I write my own reviews with honesty and of my own free will. I will not write spoilers, but will share why I think these books are worth reading.
Heath writes a variety of books, all of which are clean. I know I will not be bombarded with foul language, gory scenes of wrong-doing or sexual contact which may make me uncomfortable. Does this imply bad things do not occur, people are not angry or have asexual lives? Not at all. It simply means I do not have to wallow in the details spelled out in a graphic manner.
The story of the people; their motives, reactions and thoughts drive the storyline. People are intricate beings, formed by many factors, and Heath has an excellent grasp on how different people think and act. It is this insight which enriches each and every book in this set. Two of these four books are connected, but none of them left me feeling miffed at being set up to continue a long series. I was sad to see each one end, as I find it hard to put one aside for any length of time, at all. At the same time, each one was a satisfying read. I am, always, left with thoughts to contemplate for days on end—and I do!
Tim Heath has a style of writing which has strengthened with each new book. He paints a picture in my mind of everything and everyone with a sparseness of words which amazes me. What is gained by this? I reap a longer story, sometimes taking place in different countries; a larger cast of characters which I learn to know well; an ease in remembering who is who and what their actions have been. These factors add up to an easy and smooth read. Once I start reading, the book is not set aside until the last word is read. They are that captivating.
If you care about format, sentence construction, grammar and punctuation, as do I, these books are a step above many other ebooks. The same is true of twists and turns in a storyline. Not once have I perceived a new direction, surprise, action, or motive that drops into the action! I am stunned every time. Every single time.
Now you know, without my giving away any of what is in the books themselves, as far as spoiling them for you, why I enjoy these books and why I chose to write a review of this set. It is easy to recommend this bookset to you if you enjoy books written with the skill and the qualities I described above. They are satisfying, surprising, fill me with awe and I give them all five stars. One last word here—clues are scattered all over the place as to the action coming in future pages. I missed them all! When rereading each book, which I have done, I still had to look for them. I love a challenge. Do you? Treat yourself. My guess is if you read them once, you will read them again!
