The Pit Boss is everything a work boot should be: Safe, tough and really comfortable. First off, the steel toe construction meets ANSI safety standards and offers a roomier toe box than other boots. This means no foot pain even after long hours of hard work. You've also go an unsurpassed traction-grip for working on wet or slippery surfaces and electronic hazard protection to keep you safe from open circuits. On the comfort front, a removable sock liner proves blisters don't have to go hand-in-hand with hard work. And finally, these boots aren't anything if they aren't tough. Contacted Timberland customer support. They quoted the company line of 12 month warranty.
Very disappointed with Timberland. I bought Timberland since the 80's. I was always pleased with their boots and their performance. This was not a cheap pair of boots. As you can see from the photos, there is little wear. These boots basically fell apart due to shoddy materials in the midsole.
Buy Timberland at your own risk from here on out.
Highly disappointed in Timberland. Making something in China does not mean you need to submit to China's quality like Timberland did.
I have a pair of Wolverine Iron Ridge boots I bought at the same time. No issues. Bought the same pair in brown.
Pros - they are a very good value, they fit well and how's a construction superintendent I've been through hell and back with them. The size fit is pretty true to form.
Cons - The souls tend to separate on some of the shoes. Those that don't separate tend to squeak when you walk. Customer Service at Timberland is pretty nonexistent or they really don't care about this problem.
Do I get a pair of red wings st more than twice the price or keep putting up with this nonsense? The jury is still out…
I've had this pair of boots for one year. That alone is a big statement. This is the first pair of boots in many many years that has made it to a second year with me. Not only that, they're still in fantastic condition, have plenty of tread and are still comfortable without needing inserts. I recall another boot I've worn that has been able to do all these things and still look great.
