I have worn them for a few weeks and I am delighted by fit, and the low weight.
Very strong and realy confortable, the size was perfect and its very well done.
At the same time, they are very comfortable, I'm actually surprise how comfortable they feel since I first try them on.

I visited several stores and tried everything from Die Hard from Sears for $40 to Lowa from the Walking Store for $225. These Timberlands have it all. They are very comfortable and look great with a combination of black rubber around the toe and dark brown leather that matches everything. My job takes me to farms in countries around the world and I need something I can walk in all day. These fit the bill. They also look good enough to rinse off and wear to a dinner with a supplier in the evening. Even my wife loves the look of the boots.

Please don't pay attention to the information in the first review. It is true these run a hair small. I wear anything from a 10 in sandals, to a 10.5 in dress shoes, to an 11 in tennis shoes. I needed an 11 for these boots. I tried the 10.5 and they were too tight but the 11 is perfect. So order on the upper end of what you wear and you will be fine. The other reviewer also implied that Amazon wouldn't do the return, which is completely inaccurate as any regular customer knows. I returned my 10.5 without any problem at all, they paid the shipping both ways and gave a complete refund.

I am a timberland buyer. Tims run about half size small. so I am usually a 10 in other brands, for a better fit with Tims i need the 10.5 DM. fits like a foot glove.. nice heavy duty, it is a heavy shoe, so it does not breathe, know that, if you need something light and breathable this is not the shoe for you. they are like my boots but only ankle height.

I have using Timberland shoes and boots almost exclusively for the last 15 years and previously found them very comfortable and with very little need for break in.

These walking shoes (Rolston low top WP) seem to be well constructed but the size (12M) of this pair is clearly not the same as other Timberlands I own; I would guess they are about a half size small. I don't think that they are ever going to break in enough to be wearable.

They seemed a bit tight when I got them but I assumed that a little use would break them in. I has not. I have forced myself to wear them for over 50 miles of walking (trips vary from very short to 8 miles). But if I walk for more than a mile or two I continue to have problems with heel blisters and jammed big toes on both feet. The problems are especially bad with my slightly larger left foot.

I should have read the comments others made about undersizing in this model but my previous experiences with fit with Timberlands had always been good.

My advice -- if your feet are at all at the upper end of a given size, order two pairs -- one your foot size and one the next largest size up (length is the main problem -- but width also) and return the one that does not fit. If they are uncomfortable, I would not count on them breaking in quickly. It is a pity as they look really good otherwise -- mine will probably end up at a thrift shop. Unfortunately, I will look more broadly for my next pair of walking shoes.

first pair:::suppose to be waterproof, first rain goes right through the top of toes. walked to my car twice, shoes wet inside. other then that good fit and comfortable

second pair: rain and snow feet still dry, good bottoms good grip....but the fit....the fit on this pair feels like your heels are always coming out of the shoe

I bought these to replace my other Timberland shoes which I use for the gym and walking because they give excellent arch and upper support. These are beautiful, soft, strong and built to last. Love this shoe. Worth every penny.

My size 9.5 (10 1/2" ) foot fits the size 10 perfectly but if you wish to wear thick socks I would suggest getting a full size larger than normal.

The fit is like a glove so I do not even untie them. They slip on easily.

    Weight is 17.55 oz. each.

The area over the tow is not rounded and looks like a fault but is not real noticeable at least not in the grey color.

I went to the Timberland website and could not find these shoes listed so I guess they have been discontinued. I paid $96.53 directly from Amazon and got free 2 day Prime shipping.

I followed the other reviewers recommendation to order the next size up and it is correct. If I stick with my usual size I will surely return this pair, however because of previous reviews posted that saved me a lot of grief and will keep this one for good. Kudos everyone!
I will update this review when I wear this pair to Minnesota next week.

I ordered this in both my normal size and a half size up, and the normal size fit perfectly for me, just returned the bigger pair. I like the feel, the weight, the look, and that if I leave the laces loose enough I can slide these on and off without untying, but feels secure enough still that they won't fly off if I run. Of course you could always just tighten the laces. My only minor complaint is that I wished they breathed a little better, occasionally I will get that clammy foot feeling, but not bad really. Been wearing this as my everyday shoe for about 2 weeks at this point.
