Please don't pay attention to the information in the first review. It is true these run a hair small. I wear anything from a 10 in sandals, to a 10.5 in dress shoes, to an 11 in tennis shoes. I needed an 11 for these boots. I tried the 10.5 and they were too tight but the 11 is perfect. So order on the upper end of what you wear and you will be fine. The other reviewer also implied that Amazon wouldn't do the return, which is completely inaccurate as any regular customer knows. I returned my 10.5 without any problem at all, they paid the shipping both ways and gave a complete refund.
These walking shoes (Rolston low top WP) seem to be well constructed but the size (12M) of this pair is clearly not the same as other Timberlands I own; I would guess they are about a half size small. I don't think that they are ever going to break in enough to be wearable.
They seemed a bit tight when I got them but I assumed that a little use would break them in. I has not. I have forced myself to wear them for over 50 miles of walking (trips vary from very short to 8 miles). But if I walk for more than a mile or two I continue to have problems with heel blisters and jammed big toes on both feet. The problems are especially bad with my slightly larger left foot.
I should have read the comments others made about undersizing in this model but my previous experiences with fit with Timberlands had always been good.
My advice -- if your feet are at all at the upper end of a given size, order two pairs -- one your foot size and one the next largest size up (length is the main problem -- but width also) and return the one that does not fit. If they are uncomfortable, I would not count on them breaking in quickly. It is a pity as they look really good otherwise -- mine will probably end up at a thrift shop. Unfortunately, I will look more broadly for my next pair of walking shoes.
second pair: rain and snow feet still dry, good bottoms good grip....but the fit....the fit on this pair feels like your heels are always coming out of the shoe
The fit is like a glove so I do not even untie them. They slip on easily.
Weight is 17.55 oz. each.
The area over the tow is not rounded and looks like a fault but is not real noticeable at least not in the grey color.
I went to the Timberland website and could not find these shoes listed so I guess they have been discontinued. I paid $96.53 directly from Amazon and got free 2 day Prime shipping.
I will update this review when I wear this pair to Minnesota next week.

Comfortable shoe that looks good. I live in western NY and we receive a lot of snow. This shoe is warm and has great traction. I would not hesitate to buy them again.Published 17 days ago by M. J. Strybel
The shoes have held up well. Solid footbed and sole provide good traction on slippery surfaces. I've used them to scramble to the top of a ridge to set up a top rope and i've... Read morePublished 1 month ago by aaron Wagner
This is the best all-around pair of shoes I've bought in a long time (perhaps ever). They are ruggedly constructed, so they do feel a little heavy on my feet. Read morePublished 5 months ago by Poet and Quant
Just a tad small...and I ordered just a tad larger than what I might have.Published 7 months ago by Robert B Kuhnen
Very durable boots. Great for cold midwest winters and sloppy midwest springs. Would highly recommend.Published 7 months ago by Nicole Fish
They look nice, comfortable and not as heavy as much people says but what I dislike of this shoes is that they were made in china, labeled in china. Read morePublished 7 months ago by Astolfo Romero
I am using these for mowing and yardwork. The fit was fine for me. Others stated that the size ran small but mine were okay. Read morePublished 10 months ago by SkibumPaul
