Laces, a buckle, and a wide cuff pique visual interest, while an interior zipper allows for easy wear.

I considered going a half size up based on other reviews but ended up ordering them true to size since I have fairly narrow feet. Yes, they were a fairly tight when I first tried them on but after the first couple of wears they stretched out and now fit my feet perfectly! Adjusting the laces also makes a huge difference. I did get a blister the second time that I wore them, but that was more so due to very thin socks and an unexpected amount of walking. Since then they have caused me no trouble!
After 3+ months of wearing these boots almost daily they are still in excellent condition. The toes are slightly scuffed, but I know that's due to my embarrassing tendency to trip on curbs! But it doesn't look bad and really doesn't bother me. Additionally, I live in a rainy city without a car so I end up walking in the rain a lot. I have had no problems with puddles in these boots. My feet stay very dry and comfortably warm.
Here's the bulleted list of why these are my favorite boots:
+ very, very comfy after you break them in (which doesn't take long)
+ not stiff or heavy
+ dark brown color looks great with jeans and even black pants
+ no annoying squeaking
+ great in rain! No soggy socks
+ still in great condition after 3+ months of consistent wear
I really have no complaints of these boots! I did a lot of research before I bought these and I am so very happy I made this purchase. Cute, comfortable, and quality! I'm happy to have a boot that I can depend on day in and day out. Consider me a satisfied customer. Thanks Timberland!
The Boots: I bought a size 11 C/D I wear a size 10. These boots run narrow (trust me, narrow), and I find that the break in the boot (where it bends), across the toe is perfect and will hold a heavy sock for winter with the size 11. If your foot is on the smaller side of size 10, then do not order a size up, just C/D for wider fit. If you have a wide foot, the laces will allow for a better.
The company: Timberland is very focused on being eco-friendly. They use recycled material with the sole's construction and the fabric inside the boot. I always look forward to getting the boot and seeing the fabric chosen for the boot. I was not disappointed. I would highly recommend the boot.
The color: Yes, if you are going to buy them from amazon, then the color may be an issue. I was happy with either the wheat or the red. I ordered the wheat, and received the red. I knew I might from the posts. If you want the wheat, you may have to return a couple of times to get the great price, or order from the company and get the wheat color the 1st time. Regardless the quality is perfect.
I did have to break them in and that did take some time, however it was not uncomfortable to break them in. I wore them for a few hours one day and increased the time a little each day until they felt completely broken in. What was also a pleasant surprise was that I was able to put leggings in the boots and zip them up comfortably even with my calves being on the fuller side. And putting my jeans rolled over them was another great look with these boots. They also look fantastic with long and short skirts.
There are just so many looks that can be achieved with these boots! One thing I did do before I wore them was use a leather protector on them. This is something I do for all my leather shoes and boots as this is an investment that I want to last for many years to come. I highly recommend these boots not only for their beautiful and versatile style, but also their comfort.
