No you can't wear your mtn biking shoes to Spin class (all those are SPDs), but if you learned on SPDs, save those shoes for spin.
That's what I do.
I've never had a single issue with my pedals and I even put them on my road bike so I didn't have to buy roadie shoes.
I'll never ride anything else.
The "float" on these took a little while to get used to clicking out real fast. I crashed many times on steep, slow single track climbs.
After a while, the cleats start wearing a bit and with time on the bike, you get used to clicking in and out.
One great thing about the float ( you have 2 different degrees of float you can choose with these cleats 13 and 17) is it does not hurt my knees at all. I have ridden other pedals and the float was very limited, and my knees would tingle after a while.
I use these on my road bike as well. I have three pairs each on a different bike, a mountain bike, road bike and single speed cycle cross bike.
For my taste, these are the best and I could not picture using any other pedal/clip combo.
The only problem I see is with the metal used for the MTB cleats, a liittle too soft and I have to replace them at least 2 a year.
I am used to this cleat. Works great for me.
Affordable, good value.
These new cleats have a little more meat to them than the well worn ones that they replaced. I may have to silightly adjust spring tension on the pedals, or mayby just break them longer.
