About the Author
Kristen Ashley grew up in Indiana, has lived in Colorado and the West Country of England but now she calls the Valley of the Sun home. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least), but loopy is good when you want to write. Kristen was raised in a home with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched). Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps doing it, it keeps getting better.

I was equally excited and sad to read this book - I couldn't wait to revisit Magdalene, but I was sad to leave Magdalene.
The Time in Between is Coert and Cady's story. Coert is the sheriff in Magdalene, but he once, long ago, lived in Colorado and fell in love with a girl named Cady. There's more to their past story, but it's much better if you read to learn about it.
Cady shows up in Magdalene and buys the town's lighthouse. She has plans to fix it up and starts the process and meets Coert again after so many years.
With all KA books, there's heartache, there's heat (whoa), there's so much meat with the characters. I loved the second chance aspect of the story. I loved seeing cameos from The Will (my favorite KA book EVER).
It is a second chance love story, but it's more. It's about listening, communicating, standing up and working for what you want, and LOVE!
