I LOVE this book. The Time of Chaos is a fantastic story about survival when the rest of the world is falling apart. The love extended to strangers is a beautiful addition to the lives of these people struggling to survive what the government has done and proves that survival as a group can be so much easier than trying to survive alone. With a group of survivors everyone has a job to do instead of just one person trying to do everything.
Gia Scott brings this story to life with so many things that all of us can relate to (unless you have never experienced living in an area where it snows). The children are not looked upon as a burden with so much strife in life but as a productive addition to life for everyone in the group. Adding pets to the mix makes this story more real and "touchable" for me. I love pets and Gia has done a wonderful job at bringing them to life as well. I think Reddy is the cutest character in the book.
We could all be facing similar problems in the not so distant future and now I have a better idea of just what it will take to survive. Thank you Gia for adding so much useful information to the story with the present conditions of our society today.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE write a continuation of this story. I am so wrapped up in New Hope now that I don't want to leave!
I hope that one day we all can find our own "New Hope" to live in.
