The romance issweet, sexy, and satisfying. But what's more satisfying is how the storyprogresses. There were a few times where I wondered where the story was going. How in the world was the author going to resolve this story in a way thatdidn't leave me bawling at the inequality? Sherry and Jeremy are perfecttogether. Sherry doesn't want to leave. But what about her children?
Lorena, who forthe first half of the book is only Sherry's companion, in the second half, getsher own delicious and satisfying storyline.
The plot provides several well-I-didn't-see-that-coming moments and keeps things flowing at a perfect pace. Book your ticket to 1969 with "Time and Forever" and if anyone ever finds The Castle, please let this reviewer know!

To my sister, Kelly Dowell. Thanks for being my biggestfan.
This book was made possible by the love and encouragementof a lot of people.
First a huge thank-you to Chris Baty and company for creatingNaNoWriMo - National Novel Writing Month.
In 2009, my children's book critique group decided to createa blog. My first post on the Pen and Ink Blogwas about the joys of NaNoWriMo. To write the post, I signed upfor NaNoWriMo without any intention of participating. On November 3, 2009, myJewish/Catholic guilt genes surged to the forefront of my brain and forced meto sit down at the computer and begin typing. After tons of revision, this book is the finalresult.
Thanks to my Beta readers: Kelly Dowell, Ansley Carnahan,Donna Pennington, Brenda McCall, Mary Springer and Lydia Espinoza forencouraging me.
To Kelley Armstrong for my first professionalcritique.
To Lynda Burch for pointing out flaws I needed tocorrect.
To Cheryl Yeko for finding merit in the story andsuggesting vital changes.
To my beloved Pen and Inkers: Lupe Fernandez, HildeGarcia and Kris Kahrs who allowed me to take the story through our children'sbook critique group and who made the manuscript much better.
To Nancy Stewart for the gift of a line edit. I owe youbig-time, Nancy.

This book is quite an adventure and full of surprises. I love the way the story unfolds. The historical references brought back my own memories from the summer of '69. I loved all the characters, and the magical surprise twist at the end. Really a great read.
I listened to the audio version and narrator, Stephanie Bentley, did a fantastic job. This book is going on my favorites shelf. I will definitely read more by this author.
I love the idea of second chances, and I especially like the premise that women don't hit their sell-by date at 29. This is the story of two mature women who get the opportunity to take their 'roads less traveled' and to have do-overs. Their intelligence and maturity come along with them as they see 'what might have been.'
To top it off, the women get to visit London in the 1960s, where the author gives us an amazingly clear and nostalgic idea of what it would have been like to hang around Carnaby Street in the era of the British Invasion.
This is just a confectionary of treats: romance, love, time travel, London. 100 percent up my alley!
Two friends in their sixties, Sherry and Lorena decide to play a Virtual Reality game as a birthday celebration.
Sherry chooses to return to a time of a chance not taken. While Lorena only wants a chance to be with her deceased husband, for a little longer.
Susan B. James provides many details to keep you grounded in the past and present while showing women friends who love and support each other.
James’s descriptions of love and loving will warm your heart and have you cherishing your partner.
I purchased this e-book but also purchased the audio copy. I experienced this lovely story while I walked around the park, waited in lines, and drove on the highway. An experience which allowed me to contemplate possible what-ifs of my own and also to appreciate my present moments in time.

If you believe in love at first sight and missed opportunities, this is certainly the book for you. If you have lost the love of your life and wished that you could change things, again this is the book for you.
Ms. James relays the late sixties in all of its glory. The story is based in the year 1969, and the author describes the fashion, music, and atmosphere of the era, brilliantly. This is a heart-warming romance story of two women, Sherry and Lorena who relive their past by visiting The Castle, a Virtual Reality tour. This page turner is nostalgic and entertaining. Time travel at its best.
This lovely novel was a fun and quick read with lot of humour and witty characters, and we follow two love stories: Sherry & Jeremy, and Lorena & Dave. You can’t ask for more
Worse, this is one of those books that seems to continually start sentences with "she" or "he" did or said something, so I quickly became bored and annoyed.
